I am so not a fan of messy play, I hate play dough and painting etc so always avoided sand like the plague. My daughter was gifted a small box of this for Christmas and so I cautiously gave it a whirl. It's incredible! So easy to tidy up, despite the neon colours it doesn't stain, any stray bits that you can't pick up with your fingers hoover easily. I love it. The kids love it because unlike beach sand it's always reliably the perfect consistency to make sandcastles and mould into shapes etc. My 2yr old has the attention of, well a 2yr old, but he will happily spend 30-40mins burying his dinosaurs in this and it's great for those fine motor skills. Overall I totally recommend it but it is expensive. The small 8oz boxes have barely enough for one child to play with, the big 2lb bags I had hoped would be enough for my 2 children to use between them but really they need a bag each in our experience. Also worth investing in some cheap moulds to go with the sand to prolong it's interest.

A birthday gift for a 5 yrold. They loved it and gave had hours if fun. A good alternative to ordinary sand. Clean to use and dies not leave dirty marks. Can be used indoors.

After much moaning and begging our children, 5 and 7years of age, convinced us to buy some kinetic sand. We didn’t see the point at first and thought it was only for 3-year olds.But they have been playing with it a lot. And frankly it’s a good quality, very entertaining product. So I’m happy not to have gone for the smallest quantity. And might actually buy some more.+ Nice quantity and good for money; this bag was double the price of the smaller bags but contains 3x to 4x as much kinectic sand+ Excellent qualities; molds well, doesn’t stick, doesn’t dry out soon+ Comes in a handy resealable bag+ not just for the youngest children, older children can’t stop playing with it either. While it can be relaxing for adults as well to let the sand slip to your hands.- Requires some kneading on first use, but loosens up afterward- Created a slippery situation when dropped on our floor- Bag itself is only half full- Though easily picked up, the play area can still get messy.So this kinectic sand can be literally recommended to anyone but in particular to families with children in a wide age range.

I bought 2 bags of this for my 4 year old grandso. It felt like quite an investment for 2 small bags so I was fearful of wasting my money but he gets endless hours of enjoyment from it so I'd say it's great value for money and I highly recommend it. You do tend to find bits of it everywhere so best played with at a table and on a vinyl or tile floor rather than carpet as easier to pick up and add back to the pile.

This is a great product, and my children all love playing with it. the only negative is the cost of the coloured versions of the sand which does seem disproportionate and you don't get a massive amount for your money. This was to top up another kit as my daughter kept running out of sand so was fine but despite being an excellent product, it is not great value for money. It is however relatively easy to clean up and was a hit with my daughter.

It is great stuff! If it was just an it cheaper it would be 5 stars! It is expensive for how much you get I think, but then it is really good stuff! My 4 and 6 year old spend such a long time playing with it. And I enjoy it too! There’s something strangely therapeutic about it! Really great stuff! If onlyIt was a bit cheaper. Worth buying though!
