LincolnShoe Polish Wax - 2-1/8 oz | Made in USA Since 1925

I have known about Lincoln Stain Wax for years, but I have avoided it in favor of softer waxes. Recently one of my older Allen Edmonds shoes got some stains on it. The softer waxes were not helpful. I then used a small amount of Saphir Renomat to remove the stain. After the leather had dried (about 30 minutes), I applied the brown Lincoln Stain Wax. The Lincoln Stain Wax filled in the leather nicely, hydrating the area that had been treated, and filling in the color perfectly. I then noticed that not only did the previously stained area look good, but that the entire shoe looked better than it had in years. Some mild rainwater stains were removed, and the color of the leather is now uniform and the leather looks almost like new. The more that I applied and then polished off, the better the shoe looked. I am now sold on the Lincoln Stain Wax for my shoes. The wax is fairly solid, but you don't need much to polish your shoes. Those who prefer to work with softer waxes might not like the more solid Lincoln Stain Wax, but personally I now think that the little bit of inconvenience in working with it is far outweighed by the superior shine and reconditioning of the leather. I suspect that it also provides superior protection from wet weather.

I was told decades ago this was the BEST polish to use for my leather shoes. I had only used KIWI products before and always had issues with flaking. And wow... HUGE difference. Once I bought Lincoln, I never went back. I can use it as maintenance to keep my shoes looking fresh, or I can layer it on for a mirror shine. I have also used it for my leather jacket and a couple of my leather handbags. It really will help refresh any leather goods you have (not suede!). There might be better products now, but I haven't tested them. Lincoln is the tried and true.

Small size can that is expensive I will not pay almost ten dollars for this little can ever again.I will be looking elsewhere for a better price.So if you want a good polish that doesn't contain chemicals that are bad for leather this is in my opinion the best choice. If you want a polish that actually stains leather this is the best I have found so far. It has a nice black color that has a nice luster and shine. Water resistance this polish will help. Performance wise I really like this brand it saves time and goes on nicely. This polish does not go bad it will get dry but just leave it in the direct sunlight with the lid on or warm with a heat gun.Before applying only apply to clean dust free surfaces. Think of this as painting clean and do your prep work first. Keep dust, dirt and grit out of your polish. Wear gloves this will stain your hands and skin.Uses-I use it on boots, belts, jackets, vests, pants, riding chaps, sheaths, wallets, luggage, bags, collars, leashes, gloves, saddlebags, and whatever leather needs a good polish. I have used this polish on black vinyl upholstery many times it works great for that use sparingly. Try it on a thoroughly cleaned black vinyl car dash or black vinyl top. Some black plastics like plastic trim this will make it black. Rubber this stuff works on rubber too be careful it can create a slick surface. Just use a little bit it goes on really nice its not too thick or too thin.If you get a scratch or chip in a black paint job fill the chips in with this polish. If you are dealing with a deep scratch or chip apply in layers. I have used this polish to touch up black paint for years it is a trick I learned from a body shop.You can get a very shiny gloss that lasts just take your time.

Lincoln stain wax is a really good polish. It first of all smells really good, the black is very deep in color and shoes shine to respectable lustre in only a coat or two. The polish holds up better than most when banged around and is more resistant to scuffing and flaking, but in my opinion, Lincoln is not better than Kiwi at producing the jazziest of spit shines. If you are using these on dress shoes with a shoe brush, you will most likely be very satisfied and Lincoln may be a better choice due to its resistance to scuffing; Kiwi is really dainty stuff that scuffs easily. If you are spit shining your shoes and have a decent technique, you will pass inspection and you can go longer between touch-ups. That said, you will have a harder time 'reading the year on a dime in your shoes' with the Lincoln than if you used the other brand. I have both - I use Lincoln about once a week on my every days and reserve Kiwi for a mirror shine top coat when I need to amp up the lustre. This could be a matter of preference and technique as I have seen great looking shoes polished by exclusively Lincoln and exclusively Kiwi. A little polish goes a very long way. The shipper of the Lincoln even included instructions on how to get the polish back to the right consistency to overcome for temperature changes during shipping/storage which I thought was pretty cool.My advice if you need black polished shoes, buy a can of each, a $12 investment once in your lifetime will cover every shoe polish requirement you will likely ever have. (I posted a few quick pictures of my shoes so you can visualize what I described - the shine is good and deep but not quite as mirrored as I can get with a topcoat of Kiwi.) Good luck.

I bought the blue polish to spruce up two pairs of blue leather heels that looked very scuffed/worn at the toes.It worked very well and the shoes look remarkably better. I applied it with laundered old socks and polished it using old (laundered ) socks.I have little experience adding shoe polish but this was pretty easy despite my lack of experience.Shoes are now Shiny and back to a uniform blue. Scuff marks have been resolved.I am happy with this product!

Still an amazing item. I used to use Lincoln wax on my combat boots as well.

Really does the job! Blackens spotty areas and shines up the rest. Couldn’t be happier!

My favorite boots had gotten badly scuffed up over many years of use. My Lincoln Stain Wax order arrived today in the mail and after two coats of wax they look great! I would highly recommend this product over any shoe wax I have ever used.
