My new boyfriend has recently started taking my son fishing so I thought I would get them a new reel to replace the closed faced reel they had but didn't really like. The open-face design makes it easier to fix when the line gets tangled which it did quite a bit since my son had never been fishing before but also it makes it easier to clean the bearings and the drag is easy to access right on top. The color is bright which makes this perfect for night fishing since it is easier to see if you were to drop it or set it down. The gears are easy to access and the handle folds for easier and smaller storage. The reel is lightweight and goes great on my son's small 3-foot pole. It works very well for small stream fishing which is mostly what they have done so far. It's made of metal and sturdy and the balance is good. The gold paint was coming off before they even had a chance to use and was chipping off with use which I am hoping is just a cosmetic issue but we will see after more uses. Because of the size, it's not something that would be good for larger fish so you should choose according to where you will be fishing and what you will be fishing for. I do feel it's a good overall product and one of the reasons I chose this was because of the 12-month warranty in case anything goes wrong I am covered. I love how easy this is for my son to use and he has so much fun fishing and spending time with the boys so I am glad he has this new reel.

I got this item to go with the fishing poles i also got off Amazon. The fit was not a problem. I have had 3 men that love to fish look it over and they said its a very nice set up. The reel to me is very easy to use it has a button to switch to change the handle ect ect. Very nice reel. I'm very happy with the item i got. It came with some fishing line, but it wasn't enough but at least it came with some, cause usually the come with nothing. I had no problems with the seller and would buy from them again. They were very fast with the shipping and that's a plus for me.

This reel is so smooth. I didn’t know what to expect but I really love it. I used different line then what comes with it. Everyone that tried it had the same opinion. It was also great to cast. I would definitely recommend it.

Super smooth reel! I personally don’t care for open face reels, BUT this one I like! I like that I can move the reeling handle to the right side, this was the biggest reason as to why I didn’t like open face reels. Will continue to use this for a long time! I didn’t use the line that came with it so I have no opinion there!Will update with pictures very soon!

I like this so much not only because of the price, this quality is so good. I will definitely purchase the other parts from this store~~

Overall it performs perfect but not the lightest reel which may or may not matter to you.

Just a starter reel. Not of very good quality. 10-15 pound fish will break it. Doesn’t reel very smoothly either.

A great real. I wish I could get an extra spool for it.
