This sub hits!!!! Get a good amp and bass controller
This sub hits! I have this paired with some Crestron landscape speakers. This sub changed the entire outdoor space adding so much warmth and low end to the music. It’s an easy install. I secured it to a large paver using some TapCon screws secured to the paver. The sub has keyhole openings on the bottom so it sits on top of the crews then a twist of the sub to lock it on. Zero movement and tons of SPL! I was pleasantly surprised. I paired it with a small Bass controller as a preamp to really maximize the sound. Check out the pictures!

Amazing sub
I purchased this back in April 2022 as part of a patio upgrade, and originally paired it with a Fosi M03 200W subwoofer amp. The other components were simple - Fosi DA2120C 240W bluetooth amp which paired with a set of Definitive Technology AW6500 outdoor speakers. At first, the bass was muddy and the sub would sound as if it was clipping and too much amp for it. I upgraded the amplifier to a Crown XLS1002 running in bridged mode @700W. WOW it was like a whole different sub! This product puts out some good quality bass, but you should keep in mind you can adjust the amp settings to a higher cutoff frequency, say 235hz and you'll get more thump (if that's what you desire). I decided to try a higher "quality" subwoofer, so I purchased JBL Professional Control SB2210. To my amazement, and after listening to many different genres of music and made all other settings equal, I could not distinguish any difference except for 2 things. The JBL is more pricey and the build felt like the housing was cheap plastic. So, bottom line if one expects good quality sound from this sub, go with a higher powered, higher quality amplifier and it will make all the difference! Side note I also decided to upgrade my main speaker bluetooth amp and purchased an S.M.S.L. SA400. Pricey but much better quality, clean undistorted sound . Since then, any gatherings I've had, my guests are amazed at the sound and the consistent remark is the bass is very clean and doesn't overwhelm.Adding a note:Since it's a downward firing sub, it doesnt sound as good if you place it on a softer surface such as grass, dirt, gravel. I moved it to a concrete surface and there was a huge difference. I placed some concrete pavers on the gravel where I originally placed it. Then did some research to understand more about bass and how their soundwaves work, then understood why a grass surface didnt work as well. Also if you place a plant or vase on top, it will slide off with the vibration. I placed 3 plastic bumpers with double sided tape to keep it in place. I also purchased some silicone sound insulators (feet you can stick to the bottom to minimize vibration). Hope this helps!

It’s provides more than adequate bass
I’m not an audiophile, but I am an electronics engineer. This does a good job of providing either background bass or ground shaking if you want to really turn it up. Mine is buried at the far end of my backyard about 60 feet from the house it’s coupled to the OSD 1000W class D amp I purchased as a pair. I read some of the other reviews and can only say mine arrived well packaged and well sealed. The bass response seems really good, look its outdoors, I’m we are not talking indoor studio quality, I’m not even sure I’d know what counts as studio quality. But it sounds great with PLENTY of power

So far so good.
Sub comes with 4 wires.2 wires are for 8ohm setup and the other two are for 70v setup.Instructions are not clear about this and it took me hours of youtubing to try and get an idea of what the other wires were. Didn’t find anything helpful. I had to get a volt meter and OHM it out and had to wait till Monday to get tech support on the phone to confirm it was correct.Once I hooked it up it sounded good but needed to adjust the amp settings. I got the recommended SMP1000 amp. After I tuned it I definitely have a much better sound system.I have it set to the half way point and it sounds deep enough where it is clear that the sound can’t be coming from the overhead speakers.I would compare the bass level to a car audio system. It’s a clean sound and deep enough to feel it. Doesn’t take my breath away kinda bass but that’s not what I’m after. I’ve had it for a few weeks and like it so far.Down sideI did try to crank it to Max and then the sub cut off. I haven’t tried since but I’m assuming it’s a amp setting to protect the sub from incorrect settings or too much power etc.Other downside is the instructions are minimal on the wiring. Trying to figure out if it’s wired correctly had me upset and wanting to return it because I saw other comments that they got the wrong type of sub. Turns out it’s an optional 70v system
