I’m looking for a scoop with smaller holes that will pick up the tiny things that fall through my normal cat scoop. Is this good for that?

Yes, that's exactly why I bought this scoop. I use the normal cat scoop to get the large stuff, then this one for the tiny pieces (because I want the litter to be CLEAN). It's the only scoop with small holes that I've been able to find.

Looking for 2nd scoop for cat litter to get just the tiny stuff that regular scoop lets thru. Does/would this work well for that?

I bought this scoop for the same reason, and it was too small! It works, but you’d have to spend at least 20 minutes cleaning for it to be effective. Try the “ DHXYZZB Cat Litter Scoop Metal” (also on Amazon). That one is way more effective!

Would this work for removing course sand/gravel from aquarium?

The holes would be too big for coarse sand. Gravel would have to be about pea size or bigger to be picked up with this scoop.
