This is a $75 doll, has it been released at the normal retail price here on Amazon yet?

This was on the Mattel site for $75 on the 12th at midnight. But once you registered there for free, you could buy the doll for $60 with free shipping. That's how I bought mine. Within that one day, it was sold out. Now you can be notified if you request it, when the doll is available again.

The doll went on sale here at Amazon before the 12th. HOWEVER, the only way on earth you could have found it was to know the Amazon internal inventory tracking number (ASIN) for it. No other search strings would work. Tell me, who other than Amazon employees, friends & family would know an internal inventory tracking number for an item that can't otherwise be found? The same kind of shifty business went on over at Walmart. Again, searching for the doll by name on Walmart.com pulled up NOTHING. The only way to access the doll was to already know the URL for it. Who would know the unpublished URL for a doll that didn't come up in a product search? Yup, Walmart employees, friends & family in the know. Sadly, the poor chumps working the stores didn't get the memo. On the Mattel site, the "add to cart" was never activated. Though, I did see that for varying membership prices, you could receive first dibs on purchasing newly released dolls. This was all a big "F You" by Mattel to the general public. If you want access to purchase these dolls, I guess you need to buy their membership so you can buy the dolls in bulk and sell them for a fortune on Ebay. It really sours me on the Barbie brand and takes 100% of the joy out of the whole experience. Yes, I am one of the ppl who, starting at 11pm EST 9/11 until 10am EST 9/12 had 4 browsers open and continuously refreshing the doll's name and every alternate name hoping it might appear. The doll never once appeared. Kudos to Target for having integrity and putting their customers first instead of allowing Mattel to play head games with them. ** Hey Amazon, I call huge BS on your "Management Guidelines." You didn't put the customer first, you played favorites and showed millions of ppl that they aren't special enough.

Why is this doll being charged double the price? It is supposed to be $75.

Because some people like this seller bought up all the available stock on day one when it came up for sale, so it could then turn around and sell it as a third party seller at double the original price or higher. It is a repugnant practice, but sadly it happens with all kinds of collectible items.

Is Amazon ever going to sell this doll for the $75. they advertised & also said it would be available as of 9/12????

I was able to order it through Amazon on 9/11 for $75 as a pre-order. It’s supposed to arrive on Sunday.
