Q: Would this be suitable to put above a door that's dropped, so it deflects rain from above the door

I guess so by fixing to the head above door although it’s designed to screw to the floor. It certainly works stopping rain bouncing up from ground outside

This is more of a dull smooth finish than shiny polished.

Hi, I think it was coated aluminium. It was light but sturdy, we managed to cut it to size with a hacksaw. Hope this helps.

Q: does the width (914mm) include or exclude the two end pieces ?

The two end pieces are only 1mm thick so it hardly impacts the overall length. If this makes it too long you will have to cut the weather bar down to size.

This STORMGUARD double fin rain deflector weather bar 914mm (3'0") Aluminium deflects water away from the bottom of an External door. It can be cut down to size and comes with all the fixings required for the pre-drilled fixing holes. With the door in the closed position, cut the rain deflector to the width of the door, allowing 3mm clearance on the catch side. Mark the position of the screw holes when the rain deflector clears the threshold sill by 9mm. Apply sealant in the sealing grooves of the deflector and screw to the door.
