Mitutoyo64PKA079 Magnetic Stand With Dial Indicator, 1" Travel, 0.001" Graduation

I'm a heavy machinery mechanic for 15 years. I've struggled with lousy measuring sticks and I've grown to trust Mitotoyo. Bearing pre-load, shaft end play, bearing/pin deflection, it all has to be pretty friggin' exact. This one was made in China, but still feels and functions as good as Japanese made. And it costs less.

It's cheaper than any other website or retailer I could find. It's real mitutoyo I was concerned thinking it might be fake but it's real and insane quality! The company selling it, Turtle and Hughes, had it delivered the next day! Perfect 👍 works perfect for my lathe.

Adjustment is very good. Device works as it should.

Dial is nice and made in Japan. Unfortunately mag base is still Chinese. Seems like its better than the other Chinese dial base I had to return but I was still pretty disappointed. It also only comes in a cardboard box while these other Chinese dial indicators come in a nice plastic case.

Missing gauge pointers on flange.Also missing top cap to set zero...Basically disappointed with missing parts.

It’s a great kit but it comes with dial indicator 21416A. The indicator in the picture/description is 2416s. It’s still a good deal if you price out the indicator and base separately, but if you really wanted the S you will be disappointed. Dial made in Japan base made in China. Product seems to be of great quality.
