I’ve been using this product each spring, to knock down my carpenter bee population. They don’t stand a chance!

This Miracle Worker Saved My Labor Day Weekend Grill-out from a Hive!
I had a yellow jacket infestation in an enclosed area in a small roofed porch stoop overhang above my back-door - less than 10 feet away from where I like to grill out in my backyard and less than 3 feet from where I often enter my home. The yellow jackets made a hive in the hollow space of the overhang and entered there through a crack. I bought this Tempo Dust Insecticide Powder to get rid of them because it was recommended several places online by professional pest control experts. After many weeks of trepidation (because I don't like to be stung and have a bad childhood memory of running over a nest of yellow jackets with a lawn mower), I finally applied the Tempo dust using a squeeze bulb garden duster with a long stemmed nozzle late at night when the yellow jackets were asleep. It only took 3-4 firm squeezes from the duster into the overhang crack to do the job, and not one yellow jacket escaped to sting me! On the morning after (today), I saw a few yellow jackets who had spent the night elsewhere flyíng around in a confused manner, but avoiding the poison-dusted hive entrance. One critter did crawl out of the hive, but fell stone cold dead to the pavement with an audible thud. Wow! Tempo provides great value for money without having to call a pest control professional.I know I will have to reapply Tempo to make sure the job is completely done and to halt secondary infestations (hatching yellow-jacket larvae), but, even after initial use, I can say that I have never encountered a miracle pest killer like this! Now I can safely grill out this Labor Day weekend without the threat of stinging pests.

It got rid of our carpenter bees!
We had an exterminator come twice and said they wouldn't do anther treatment until we dismantled the bottom boards on our sunroom so they could get at the nest. They thought they were yellow jackets but after a bit of research I thought they were carpenter bees. Most were smaller and less hairy than the one pictured. I bought this Tempo Dust and loaded in a squeeze duster. Went out one night after dark on did a poof poof down the length of the board they were going in under. Easy peasy! Did garb up just in case. The next day did still see several bees coming and going but they appeared drugged. We just left the area alone and the following day I only saw one bee. Today there is no activity. I'm overjoyed as they were chasing our dog and swarming us while running any kind of device with a motor. They overstayed their welcome! I have over half the bottle left so I may retreat if I see any activity. Awesome product!!

Works but doesn't totally get rid of them.
The product did get the bugs but finally just got rid of the furniture to totally get rid of them.

Killed entire colony of yellow jacket with one rather small application.
This stuff is amazing. We had yellow jackets going up behind our siding on the side of our house. I was worried about them stinging one of our children. I used a puffer and puffed in the area where they where entering in the evening when the all were back in the hive. I gave a quick, light dusting. Next morning the entire colony was dead! It literally took almost nothing so I have plenty left over so I should be good for a few years +!Update: Found a huge yellow jacket nest in my back yard! The top at the surface of the ground was about the size of a basketball! I got stung a few times before I could get away. I came back after dark and dusted the top of the hive easily. Next morning not a single yellow jacket. I had a fire going so I stuck a shovel in and scooped out a basketball sized chunk and tossed it in the fire. I went back to dig more up because I want to find out how big the hive is. In the bottom of the hole there was more nest full of yellow jackets that where clearly on their way out due to exposure to the dust. I opted to give them another treatment and covered the top of the hive so the weather or any animals wouldn’t disturb the nest or poison. I will give it a few days and see how much more hive is in there. The Tempo is very potent and gets the job done quickly. Really great stuff that can get into tight spaces.

Works great but beware this is a dust and can get messy. Use gloves, goggles, and face mask.
We have been using this for several years. It is expensive but goes a long way if used correctly. Make sure you get a duster bulb to dispense because you really can’t do it directly from the bottle because you will use too much. It is a fine dust, that is what diatomaceous earth is, so wear eye, hand, breathing protection. Since it is a dust it will wash away when it rains or gets wet. Since we use it mainly for wasps which typically nest in dry areas that is not a problem but we have also used it on ground bees so you need to apply when there is not much chance of rain for awhile. It takes awhile to work so be patient. We usually apply directly to a wasp nest early in the morning when they are on the nest and moving slowly. The more dust you can get on them and the nest the better. Don’t knock down the nest after you dust it as if they return to the nest they will pick up any dust and later die. We also dust in areas where they typically build nests like hose reels and outside storage bins. It does not take much dust to deter them. Unfortunately, ground bees you need to find where they enter and exit their nest and get a much dust in the nest as possible, again do this early in the morning when they may be less active. You may have to reapply several times as any rain or dew will wash it away.
