KMS California Hairplay Makeover Spray, 6.7 oz

I read that this stuff is great for adding volume for updos and other styles that require a lot of volume. Another reason I chose this product was because I heard it smelled good. Well. It is useful for updos, but not so great you can't live without it.The smell? It took me back to the 80s nightmares of Aqua Net and Dep gel. Bug spray also comes to mind. Come on, people! Haven't we moved beyond this? When you spray the stuff, it covers you and the room around you. I'm not sure how much hits the hair at all. So it's 'hold your breath, and as soon as you stop spraying, run! Or just spray it outdoors. I'm pretty sure it will keep the bugs away.Final issue is cost. I've used this product a handful of times. By that I mean 5, maybe 6. My hair is fairly thin and doesn't require huge amounts. Yet, the can is almost empty. There are supposed to be 6.7 ounces in the container. I have other products with similar container with 6.7 ounces and they feel heavier. Curious.The bottom line is, I might try it again, if I found it for about half of the $16.25 I paid for it. I won't pay that much for this product ever.

KMS dry shampoo is one of my favorites. I go to the gym 4 times a week and washing my hair everyday would really dry it out, so dry shampoo is my go to (especially after those morning workouts before work). I'm really big on smell and something that doesn't weigh my hair down (I have very thick hair). I LOVE THE SCENT, it's the perfect mix of clean and yummy. If you spray it on too close then you get the white mist streak so you have to remember to hold far enough (few inches). If I have a lot of time, I can spray and use the blow dryer to style my hair out. If I am in a hurry.... I just spray it all over and shake my hair then run out, eventually tying it up into a bun but only after letting it dry a bit. If your hair is a bit moist from tying it up and rinsing your body it will take more time for the dry shampoo to dry. Great product, highly recommend.

This awesome spray is so great for second and third day hair! It soaks up excess oil, gives volume and texture and there is no tell-tale powdery residue! My hair looks clean and shiny and I don't have to shampoo every single day! It has completely changed my routine and my hair is much healthier because it isn't subjected to daily washings! Yay!It is a bit drying, but if I am careful, I manage to get it on the root area and the ends are left alone. I like to use this on the roots and I use Moroccan light treatment oil for the ends. The combination is a wonderful blend of lift, texture and volume at the roots with shine and conditioning on the ends.Highly recommended product and well worth the price.

So I have tried several dry shampoos from the local big box stores and this is definitely better. I saw a post from a gal that went Unshampooed for 9 days using this product. Im on day 4 and could definitely stretch it. I have highlighted shoulder length hair that gets oily and flat at the temples and crown because of daily exercise so I was looking for something to use that would cut down on daily shampooing and styling. This was my answer. It has a bit of a mint smell which is refreshing and the spray is even and not clumpy. My hair is light so not sure how it would be for brunettes. Nice plumping for my fine hair too. All in all I like the prouduct. Would give it 5 stars if the price was better.

It seems I'm the only person who's reviewed this product that has had a problem getting it to come out of the bottle. This is strange, since I've had the same problem with 2 different bottles of it. If anybody else has had this problem, please advise on how to remedy it! I've rinsed the nozzle in hot water, but nothing seems to work, and it just ends up spraying propellant on my hair, making it oily. I just called the manufacturer, but they need the batch number on the bottle as apparently they've changed the packaging (hopefully to fix that problem). I will need to get that info and call again tomorrow.Otherwise, I am pretty satisfied with this product. I have very fine hair that gets oily after a day, so I normally rely on cornstarch to revive it the next day. Cornstarch, however, can be messy and leaves powdery residue in your hair and clothes that your hair rubs against during the day. I've tried several dry shampoos, and this is my favorite so farUpdate 2/10/13I contacted customer care, who told me there was a batch that had defective nozzles, and they promptly sent me a replacement bottle, along with a pre-paid label to send mine back. Kudos to them for doing that. However, I had the same problem with the new one!!! After this third bottle, I have given up. I am currently using Umberto Beverly Hills Dry Clean (purchased at Target for $8.99). It works great, is unscented, and, most importantly, COMES OUT OF THE BOTTLE EVERY TIME!!

I am very new to the dry shampoo craze, but someone recommended KMS Hair Play to me, so I decided to try it. So far, I am liking it. I do find that my hair is more healthy when I do not shampoo every day, and this helps ensure my hair does not *look* dirty. My one complaint is that I do sometimes feel it when I run my hands through my hair. It feels like the finest baby powder. I cannot even see it on my hands, it's that fine. This is particularly true if I use it two days in a row without wetting my hair. I think perhaps this is just how dry shampoo is supposed to work, but as I said, I am new to it, so I don't know!

My hair has been acting up lately, so I've been trying to change my routine and take better care of it. I changed my shampoo/conditioner and try not to wash my hair everyday. Just with those two changes, my hair feels healthier and less dry. The problem with not washing your hair everyday though is that it can feel a little greasy...or dirty. I've been trying out several different dry shampoos and I always have the same problems. They always smell horrible, leave a white residue, leaves my hair flat or just doesn't work at all. This product is none of those things. I just spray a few areas on the top of my head, blend it in and style as normal. It leaves my hair smelling great, feeling great and adds some volume. I would recommend this to everyone looking for a good dry shampoo to use between washes!

This had been recommended by a beauty blog as *the* best dry shampoo out there. Whilst it is true that it doesn't leave a white residue, if you use it sparingly, it simply does nothing at all. When I use cheaper, more accessible brands of dry shampoo, I'm usually disappointed by the residue and the fact that it leaves my hair colour dull, at least they make my hair feel clean though. Plus, when I used other, cheaper dry shampoos, my hair genuinely falls and moves as if it had been freshly washed. This did nothing and didn't even remove the slightest bit of oils from my hair. The smell isn't very nice either, it's hard to describe, but it smells kind of acrid and chemical, like something that has gone off.

Take this everywhere with me, really good for freshening up my hair style and giving body to tired hair. Smells good too!

Ich habe schon einige Trockenshampoo getestet. Doch keines hat aus den glänzenden, fettigen Haaren wieder normal aussehende gezaubert. Anders das KMS California Hairplay Makeover. Damit kann ich einen weiteren Tag aufs Haare waschen verzichten. Die Haare schauen nicht grau und nicht stumpf aus. Einen Punkt abzug wegen des doch recht hohen Preises.

Ich gebe zu, ich bin begeistert seit dem ersten Gebrauch. Dieses Spray ist das einzige mir bekannte, dass tatsächlich funktioniert. Ich treibe viel Sport. Folge: oft verschwitzte Haare. Diese Spray hilft über meinen absoluten Bad-Hair-Day hinüber. Bin begeistert und bei Amazon ist es günstig. Von super schneller Lieferung etc. abgesehen. Die ist dann noch das I-Tüpfelchen!

Es riecht sehr gut und tut was es machen soll.Nur leider funktionierte der Sprühkopf nach der ersten Anwendung nicht mehr. ;(Somit umnutzbar und ich musste es leider wegschmeißen.
