One You Used It, You Won’t Go Back!
Never had a cast iron pan before as I was scared off by seasoning it, rust issues if washed incorrectly and other care required. But actually caring for this pre-seasoned Lodge has become a labor of love as it works so well. Steaks are brilliant, eggs slide out, lamb shanks and other meat browned in record time. Veggies roasted to perfection. If you haven’t had a cast iron pan before, take the plunge. You won’t regret it. After use I wash it in warm water (no soap), scrub it with a nylon brush, dry it, and then lightly oil it with a paper kitchen cloth and some canola oil. Truly, a cast iron pan can take the place of non-stick Teflon, ceramic and aluminum pans. The only downside is the cleaning care required, longer heating up time and heavier weight. But I will soon order the 12 inch version, call me a convert.

Very very good pan as long as you take care of it.
No chemicals. Just a standard cast iron pan. Come pre seasoned. As long as you dont leave it in water, wash immediately after using and heat and grease the pan after using it. It will last forever.

I’ve read lot of reviews and seasoning instructions. was confused to buy this or some other non stick pans as I’m not in that state to do all those things. anyway got this one. Used right away, Not sticky at all, nice one. Great. Everything tastes good 👍🏻 😊

Perfect for Your Steaks & One Pan Chicken Meals
Excellent heat distribution for perfect steaks and chicken meals. Product Care: Make sure to pat dry it after every wash (wash with mildly hot water and a sponge with a dash of liquid soap | baking soda), apply some olive or vegetable oil with tissue or clean cloth, let it dry a bit. It won't rust a lifetime. All it needs is proper care and some love.

Lodge Cast Iron Skillets, Pre-Seasoned, 8" and 10.25" - Black. Great Heat Distribution
I love these Lodge Cast Iron Skillets. I now have the 8" and the 10.25". These skillets have great heat distribution and are easy to clean with the Lodge scraper or probably any scrubber. Of course, being cast iron it is somewhat heavy to handle, but that is expected with anything made of cast iron. Both sizes are the right size for my stove top and for my needs. I should have bought these a long time ago since the cast iron skillet does not peel after repeated use or have the inside of the skillet peel off like other cooking products do over time. My food tastes great too. I use extra virgin olive oil for cooking and sometimes to oil the skillets. I also use the cast iron seasoning oil to keep the skillets oiled when not in use. The oil should be applied all over it after every use. After every use I clean them with some warm soapy water and the scrubber I bought for cleaning my cast iron skillets (if something gets stuck to them), then dry them thoroughly, then apply a thin application of the olive oil or any decent cooking oil or the cast iron seasoning oil to keep the skillets like new. The red handles that protect against burns work great as well. Do not put the red handles in an oven or they will melt and cause a toxic mess - use oven mitts when using an oven. Cast iron gets very hot so need to be careful when handling or cooking.

Initialement j'ai acheté une poêle en fonte 30,5 cm Amazon Basics que j'ai dû retourner pour remboursement à cause d'un logo Amazon Basics en fonte relief sur le dessous, ce qui l'a redu déséquilibrée pour l'huile qui coulait d'un seul côté. Puis j'ai acheté une Lodge 26.5 cm et suis absolument ravi. La Lodge est pré-enduite et en principe prés à utiliser, mais je l'ai "assaisonné" encore 3 fois moi-même avec de l' huile de lin. Impeccable, entretenu avec une brosse à récurer en maille inox. ! Non-stick ! Vivement conseillé pourtant importée des USA donc plus chère.

An excellent pre-seasoned skillet
I bought this as my first cast iron skillet and I am amazed by it. It is really tough. It was pre-seasoned, so I didn't have to worry about that. I seared steaks in it and the results are delicious.
