Exactly what it is
The unflavored was closest to to the flavor of her previous formula and had the least amount of added sugar, which I liked. This always came very quickly, which I appreciate as this is my child’s main form of nutrition.

I got this for kids with GI conditions
Getting nutritious drinks for kids with GI problems is expensive. This is a peptide based, has prebiotics and lots of protein. I will be donating this to the local charity that distributes food and supplies the homeless with much needed foods. This can be used as a drink or for tube fed youngsters. This has Peptide 1.5

Great if you do the dairy thing
These are also appropriate to give to young kids without any special health needs. They contain lower sugar than regular Pediasure, so if you can get them started on these, in my opinion it is a better option. In my opinion, they taste almost exactly like the regular Pediasures, only a very slight difference. These contain corn maltodextrin if there are any allergy concerns, but Pedisure does provide a similar shake that is made with rice maltodextrin instead.

Higher calories
These have double the calories of normal pediasure and lower sugar. Great option for if you have a kid in the lower weight percentage that has GI issues. My kid has to take miralax every day to make sure he doesn't get backed up. This seems to be a little easier on his belly, but it's thicker than his normal pediaure. I started pouring into a cut and giving him half mixed with regular milk and stirring in the miralax (and doing the same for night without the miralax added).I like the lower sugar and high calories for my skinny picky eater with tummy issues.However....the price is INSANE. We could never afford to keep our kid on this. Hopefully those that absolutely need this one can get it covered by insurance. We'll continue to buy regular pediasure from costco when it goes on sale.

Great nutrition, but taste and price are insane
High-calorie, dense, nutritional product for your baby's diet. It provides daily vitamins along with other calories and proteins if consumed regularly. My kid didn't like the flavor. I tried to mix it with other liquids like water, milk, or juice, but she keeps rejecting the flavor. I was trying to serve this in the mornings, but it feels bad to make her associate bad flavors with a high nutritional diet.I would have loved this product if my girl had liked the taste. To me, the price is not worth the experience.

My son didn’t add no weight
My son was on it for 8 weeks straight, he didn’t add nothing. Not even an ounce . We were taking 3 bottles daily. He is only 14 months.I stopped buying after 6 -8 cartons.I am going to try 1.5cal pediasure which is 4 times cheaper. I think he will do better with that than the peptide. He is reacting to something with peptide, he was pooping too much which is counterproductive

Not completely broken down formula
My son has dairy allergy, gastroenterologist specialist recommended this product. This product is not completely broken down. My son threw up with this formula. The formula being the only dietary change the formula is the problem.

Very thick
My 4 yr old son does not having a feeding tube but due to his autism he has a very limited diet (6-8 foods he will eat and none are high calorie or nutrient dense). Along with vitamins he also drinks classic pediasure for a caloric and vitamin boost. He did NOT like the flavor of this. However, I found that if I mixed it with milk or water he would drink it.I asked his nutritionist about this product and she said if he will drink it than it’s a great way to get added calories/nutrition in him. It’s also much lower in sugar than the tradition version.I can see this being very beneficial for fd children. I do not see this product useful for most children as it’s specifically designed for very specific dietary needs. If your child has special needs then this might be a good option (if dr approved) for their dietary and weight maintenance needs.
