Absolutely great results for the price.
I'm using this product as a repeater to boost the wifi across our property. After the initial setup the repeater works well and has a very good range. The downfall was the setup itself. The instructions are not very clear and I had more success following the "answered questions" section on the Amazon listing to get mine running.I have set it up a few times now and here is the easiest way I have found:Plug in the unit near to your current router or modem (you can relocate it after setup). Plug in the Ethernet cable from your current router to the WAN LAN and then another from the LAN port on the unit to your computer. This can be done wirelessly but I had better success on a wired network.Open a browser on your computer and type 192.168.10.253 into the address bar. This is the unit's default IP and will take you to the control panel. The address and the username and password is printed directly on the back of the unit. You should be prompted to enter a username and password which IIRC is "admin" for both but again are printed on the back of the unit and in the original instructions. You should now be at the setup screen and can choose the operating mode that you require. For us I picked the repeater wizard and was prompted to select and login to our current wifi network. Upon save the unit will reboot and you should unplug both Ethernet cables. It will then open a new network called "Wireless-N" which will have the same password as your original network. You should join the network and run a speed test at this point. Once satisfied you can unplug the unit and move it to a new location which only requires a wall outlet and to be in a reasonable range of your original wifi.Recognize as a repeater this unit recieves and retransmits your wifi signal so if you place it in a location that has very poor reception currently it won't be able to uplink well. If you're struggling to get any signal on other devices so will the unit. It should be placed somewhere with a reasonable original signal between the source and where you would like the new network to reach. It will also lag slightly compared to your regular network as you have to pass through an extra host. With that being said, it does a great job at extending our network to another structure which is 50+ft away from our main living area and sends the signal around a hill that our normal network can't reach. We don't have cell phone service on our property and this enables us to make wifi calls on our smartphones from a much larger region.

Wifi signal way better
Easy to set up. Plug into the wall then I used my phone and found the new router come up on the network. Then I had to use the qr code that I scanned with my phone on the instructions that the router comes with. I was having issues using my laptop so this way worked way better with my cellphone. It took a minute after scanning and then I was able to access the router. Then I selected the mode I wanted and then I found my router that is in my main router in my house. Then used the password for my main router so my wifi extender is now secured and ready to use. Well worth the buy my signal is now way more dependable on the far side of the house.

We had constant problems with Netflix not loading and slow Internet in the back of our house. This was recommended by a friend and works great for being able to watch TV and surf the Internet, where we previously has a low signal.

Not for us...
Wish I could return this product. So the product worked. I had reception all throughout the house. The problem was the speed. Everything was super slow, we couldnt even stream the media from facebook. So if you need this for minor items, like streaming audio, or just browsing the web, this would work well. But if you want any videos, just know that this product wont work well enough to get the job done.It just became inconvenient because our phones would automatically connect to this device, and we would have to manually connect back to the main router (which was much faster.)It just didnt work for us.

So happy I bought this
I often house sit for a friend and their house is large and weirdly laid out in a T shape. The wifi router is located in what would the very bottom of the T and barely, if at all, reaches the rest of the house. No bueno for my data plan. I had a bit of a hard time setting this up and thought it wasn't working and almost returned it. This may have been user error though. Works great now, no issues.

DHMXDC 300Mbps Multi-function Mini Wireless-N
I don't know if this device works better with specific modems or not but I was not happy with my purchase. The 4 star plus rating and price point is what drew my attention. Easy enough to configure when I direct connected my Laptop but none of my wireless devices could connect. I was at this for 90 minutes, playing around with different modes, all my wireless devices could see the unique SSID broadcast signal but once I entered the pass key, "unable to connect" was always the same message. The install instruction could be more descriptive as some customers have stated, some of the different modes can be confusing to the layman and I'm in IT!!! It would've been nice if the instructions included some trouble shooting

A real extender
After trying 3 major brands I decided to give this one a try based on the reviews. Our home router is at the back of our home which means at ground level the signal is weak in the front. I am trying to automate and monitor our garage doors and needed a strong signal up front in our attached garage. I am getting very good signal in the garage. Now all I have to do is wait for the Liftmaster gateway to be delivered to test the wifi signal. I will try to update the review after a month or so. Do far so good. Give it a try.

I was trying to use as a wired AP to extend the range to an out building more then 600 feet awayThought an antenna and then back to a switch then an AP . I found I needed a more expensive AP device. This rating does not reflect its capability as a wireless extender so I would not be afraid to try it.especially with wireless ( and amazon makes returns very easy)
