Q: How many drops just to put in a 1 gallon jug to have? How long does it need to sit? Does top on gallon jug need to be off for air? Thnx

I calculated that I needed 2.5ml to treat 5 gallons. If you have something that measures ml's, I believe that it would be 0.5 (1/2) ml to add based on what I did for the 5 gallons. If you don't have a way to measure that, 15 drops should be correct, as 30 drops equals roughly 1 ml.

Q: Does calcium count as a heavy metal? I worry my snail would be mad if this removes calcium from the water.

No calcium is a mineral not a metal.

Q: Does this reduce GH Levels???

I would not but it from Amazon. Get it through pet mountains.

AquaSafe does not cause cloudy water. There are a variety of reasons why your water may be cloudy. Heterotrophic bacteria, organic matter, new tank syndrome, and so forth. If you have not done a partial water change, simply topped off the tank periodically, for example, you would need to vacuum the gravel and remove/replace 30% of the water as organic matter may be an issue.
