Q: Does the hub attach to something? The hub looks like it might attach to something on the bottom where the label is, but nothing came in the box.

The hub didn't have any plate to attach something. There has a adhensive sticker in the package for smart button that you can attached it at anywhere.

Q: Do this work with Smarthing Hub?

No, it works with BroadLink S3 Hub. For the first time use, you can buy a kit with S3 hub included. It is a scene swith, you can set routines in BroadLink App or Alexa.

Q: Does each button only support 1-click actions? Or is there support also for double click and long press, enabling more scenes with the same setup?

Yes, each button only support one scene, total four buttons. At present, we don't support double click and long press yet.

Q: If this works with google can't I just set one button to tell google to toggle a certain light, ( google knows whether the light is on ) for example?

No, Google doesn't have such function yet. You can use Alexa or BroadLink App to set routines, such as press button 1 to turn on certain light, press button 2 to turn off light.

Cheap product - no offical app as defined in manual

It looks like that in making miniature electronics, the companies are cutting cost such that they're printing the accompanying quick start guide in micro size text that has to be read with a magnifier. I searched the Play store for so called 'BroadLink' app as mentioned in the manual but there was no such thing!! There are at least 5 similar named apps and you have no way to determine which is the real app. The link on 'official' website points to .apk file which may harm your phone.This indicates the product is cheap, has not been tested and thoroughly reviewed. Instead of spending time looking for help topics etc, better stay away from cheap manufacturers like this who don't even know how to write a proper accompanying product manual.
