LIVSafe Refrigerator Lock: 1-Hand Use, Self-Locking, Baby Safety Fridge & Freezer Latch-White

Good design, simple installation. I bought this first because i liked the idea of the self-locking latch, so i wouldn't forget. The latch is a little finnicky to line up just right, definitely make to understand the mechanism before permantently attaching. Even so i was very pleased with except for one thing: it couldn't get a hood enough grip with the adhesive bc my fridge door has a rounded corner. That was not clear in the advertising. It still worked, but could not hold up to the determined yanking of my toddler and came loose after less than a week. The fridge part of the latch held up well so i don't believe it is product fault or improper installation, just couldn't get suffcient grip, it only had contact with sbout half the tape space.

I love the product BUT the design need work . The cost was great . First of all it is our fault we had to get use to it. So now we have to have it duck taped but it works. I would buy it again at this price .

I used this to keep my freezer shut. The seal is worn and opens too easily if inside food leans on the door. The adhesion works for about a month or less. Perhaps if one or two adults used it. I have 6 ranging from 14 to 48.

I only gave this product 3 stars because it doesn't work with my style of refrigerator. My refrigerator has rounded sides. This is designed for a refrigerator with flat, right angle sides.

Easy to install, however my 2yr old defeated the locking mechanism as well as the adhesive within 6hrs after I put it on.

We bought several different types of door latches at once after my daughter managed to melt a full of MegaBlocks in the oven. I ended up installing this one on the fridge after she fed her stuffed animals a whole tub of Greek yogurt (ever try to clean that stuff up? It's worse than melted MegaBlocks!) This is by far the most functional and user friendly of the whole bunch. I'm glad I put it on the fridge because one-handed operation is super easy, but my crafty toddler has yet to defeat it. I'll definitely being buying more to replaced the other crummier/clumsier/weaker latches we acquired on our latch-buying spree.

Followed the instructions exactly as written (instructions are a bit confusing and poorly laid out). It is certainly possible that I didn't install it correctly, but if that is the case then the correct way to install this must be next to impossible. Once installed I let it sit without using it for two days to make sure the sticker was secure before putting any pressure on it. From the first day of use the mechanism that is supposed to allow it to close on its own didn't work. My 30 lb beagle could still open the fridge with it on and snapped shut, just just pulled hard enough that the sticker peeled off. Not worth the money, better off purchasing a fridge lock that you close manually.

Our cat likes to jump on top of a refrigerator freezer, to sleep, that is in our garage. One day my husband saw that the freezer door was ajar and all the food in the freezer had to be thrown away. We surmised that his jumping on it had caused the problem or else he had used his paws to open the freezer door. We needed a solution to prevent the a repeat of the problem and this lock solved it.
