I did a ton of research before deciding on this dehumidifier, and I’m so glad I chose this one! From the moment I set it up, it has worked flawlessly. I followed the recommendation to let it sit before turning it on, and setup was incredibly easy. I opted to use the drain option, which makes maintenance effortless—no need to constantly empty the water tank.I have two of these units covering a 2,200 sq. ft. area, and they perform amazingly well. They pull moisture from the air quickly, making the space feel much more comfortable. The difference in humidity levels is noticeable, and the air quality has improved significantly.One of the best features is how quiet it is. Even though it’s running efficiently in the background, it doesn’t create much noise, which is a huge plus. Whether you're using it in a basement, large room, or anywhere else that needs humidity control, this dehumidifier is up to the task.Overall, I highly recommend it. This seems like a good product and it does remove moisture from the air quickly. However, Amazon shipped it improperly. It should be shipped standing up! Instead, Amazon shipped it on its side in another box with no packing around the original box--and plenty of space between the boxes. The item was apparently damaged because of this, but the company was willing to replace it. I also made a formal complaint to Amazon, as shipping it in this manner can cause leaking of refrigerant, which is serious business. If you only plan to use the receptacle and not the hose, be prepared to empty it twice a day. On a rainy day, it can take about 1.5 gallons of water out of the air! The wheels are handy, and it's relatively quiet although I personally found the noise slightly annoying--not enough to make me want to return it though.

This system seems to work very well in our basement. It has settings so it only runs as needed to maintain, drains so we don’t have to change the bucket inside, and the air is no longer damp.

Product arrived packaged well. It runs pretty quiet, no louder than the exhaust fan I had been using in the bathroom where I placed it. At the 40% humidity setting it fills its condensate reservoir within 24 hrs running continuously. With the humidity setting at 55% it will shut off/on as the humidity moves below/above that set limit.No long term usage data as yet.

With a 1-step Harbor Freight folding stool & a 5 gallon bucket, you can have a perpetual moisture removal machine. I have it running constantly upstairs for humidity control (82°F ~ 62% RH on average) and have it drain into the bucket which I usually have to empty after about a day and a half; it seems to work well even for a larger area (approx. 500 sq. ft.) than what it's rated for. I appreciate that it has handles which some larger dehumidifiers seem to lack. I don't like the fact you can't turn off the bright light on the front and have resorted to covering it with tape.
