Love love this
I am 11 weeks PP and my Lactation consultant was the one that suggested this product. I do think that it has helped me have fuller breast. Goats Rue is however not for making milk it’s just for helping the body make more tissue to be able to support more milk. I have tried multiple Rue products after this ran out and they actually had the opposite effect. They were less expensive from other companies. What I will say that I think you get what you pay for with this and for the $45 a month it has been the thing along with Moringa that has made it possible for me to breast feed. I will suggest ordering from their company though. You get free shipping and can set up a subscription just like Amazon. I think the quality is better but I don’t know for sure if that’s true. I love this company like though and will keep using it.

Far better than Fenugreek for milk supply
Breastfeeding supply management can be a pain, but Goat's Rue really helps make sure your supply keeps up with demand. I've used this product for more than 6 months in combination with Fennel capsules 3x per day. The increase in my milk supply was quick and I can count on it to work. If I ever need a milk supply helper in the future, I'll skip all the stuff I tried before (fenugreek, brewer's yeast, dark leafy greens, etc) and go straight to the Goat's Rue.When you take it, time it so that it is at least 15 minutes AFTER drinking any fluids. Use 1 to 2 oz of water to swallow the pills. Wait 15 more minutes, then you can drink whatever/however much you want. Time it so that it is 30 to 45 minutes before a feeding or pumping session and you will notice a distinct difference in supply. Since goat's rue actually helps build up breast tissue, taking it consistently for a while will help build your capacity as well as your supply. The capsules work FAR better than any tinctures. The only thing I've noticed is that the capsules are less effective when I leave them on the counter in the summer time and the weather is hot. When I keep them stored out of the heat, they work much better.

I will buy and recommend to anyone
After a long double bout of mastitis right after engorgement, breast feeding was very difficult for my son and I to get back to. I lost nearly all of my supply despite pumping and nursing constantly through the infections. But I carried on and took all my herbs to the point of saturation (lol). The effective combinations I took were stinging nettle and fenugreek (to the point of smelling like syrup) for 2 weeks, and then goat's rue for 2 weeks. I alternated this program until running out of supplements. While the goat's rue is not designed to actually increase the amount of milk that is made (the thistle/fenugreek does that), it does increase the amount of breast tissue you have that contains mammary glands. I definitely noticed a huge increase in my breast tissue size after using the supplement (over about 2 months' time) of about 1-2 cup sizes. This was/is highly encouraging for me for lactation in the future and I highly recommend it to women who are nervous about lactation or have trouble or have had trouble in the past. But please consult the Motherlove Herbal Company about dosage and consult your doctor before taking any herbal supplements ever.Motherlove Herbal Company also makes a Mother's Milk Supplement with Goat's Rue in it, but if you were like me with definitely trouble signs or problems, and are ok to take the herbs, I would go straight for the source for the best results.

seems to help
It is difficult to tell which products work and which don't, since I have tried just about all of them at this point in some combo or another. It also depends on your particular chemistry, I think, but these seem to be working well for me. I have PCOS and a VERY low supply to begin with, starting at a tenth of an ounce at a time. I am currently trying to wean myself from domperidone, which increased my supply to about 3/4 of an ounce at a time and I have added goat's rue to my regimen while cutting back on the dom. I went from 800mg/day of domperidone to my current dose of 400mg/day and have actually seen a slight increase when taking the goat's rue (I got over an ounce last time I expressed milk! I know, that doesn't seem like much to most people, but this has been a hell of a struggle for me for the last 5 months), where I expected a drop. I have also been taking fenugreek, but I'm not sure that is doing anything at all, since before the domperidone I took it with Mothers Milk Special Blend, and that combo didn't do much. So, I think the goat's rue is doing something. Yay!

Low milk supply no longer
Starting taking this before my thrid baby got here (was advised to do so for increase in milk "plumbing" tissue, basically). Anyway I have ALWAYS had to supplement my previous babies and with this plus blessed thistle I am able to sustain my baby by myself. WOOHOO!!!!! I take 3 pills 4 times a day. Also, make sure you are getting enough water. I was told half your body weight in ounces for you, plus 30 ounces for baby. Thats pretty important. Good luck. One thing that makes me unhappy. This used to cost 28$ a bottle. Now its 37. I need 3 bottles a month and that is a lot more. Please bring the price back down and also add the Subscribe and Save option. Thanks!

Doesn't work!
this stuff is WAY to expensive and did NOTHING for me. I stuck to the regimen for over 3 weeks and my milk supply did not increase. What works is Barley water and Fenugreek while taking More Milk Plus. Barley water is easy to make. Buy pearlized barley. Steep it in simmering water for 2 hours (6 cups water to every one cup barley). The water will be pink and slimy. You drain the water off and drink that. I drink a cup every morning.
