This expansion for Scythe adds 2 completely new playable races and a few new tokens. Now it may not seem like much at first but once you really start digging into what these races really offer, it becomes a game changer. First of all but adding two more races to the game, it effectively increases the player cap to 7 players! Now I haven't played a 7 player game YET but I can imagine it would get crowded pretty quickly on that board which would make for a more intense game.As far as the 2 new races go, at first I thought they were pretty over powered as both of their starting locations on the board are not blocked off by a river or water so they are free to roam about the land right off the bat before any upgrades. However after delving into the other races abilities I discovered that they have some abilities that allow them to move around the board much quicker so it pretty much evens out. The new abilities that the new races have are unique and interesting. I especially like the Togawa ability to lay down traps, this is freaking awesome in more ways than one. First off when you lay a trap it claims that land as yours so it adds to your overall land score at the end game. However an opposing player can still capture that land BUT it will set off the trap which will impact 1 of 4 different things against that player such as their popularity or military power.The second race, the Albion, are also interesting as they can place down flags on land they control which effectively doubles that land count. So the piece of land that they have flagged it worth 2 instead of the usual 1. Not quite as neat as the Togawa's ability but handy nonetheless. As far as the pieces go, they are amazing as per usual. The two new character's are very well represented in plastic with the human's accompanying their respected animal companion. The mech's are represented in green and purple respectively and each have their own unique look. Same goes with the little wooden worker pieces.The expansion also adds some new money tokens of a higher value. You probably won't ever use these unless you are playing with at least 5 players though. Not much else is included as the original game board already has the places printed on it for the two new races. All in all I highly recommend this expansion if you are craving more after playing Scythe.

Excellent addition to the Scythe game!

This scythe expansion adds the last two factions to the base game and allows you to play with up to 7 players! Even if you don't want to play with that many players it is still great to add this to your game because each of the factions have their own special abilities and this will add to the flavor and replay of the game. If you do want to play with higher player counts I recommend you also by the board extension. It's not very expensive and adds the missing third to the back of the base game board for a huge playing surface. This is a solid Buy it! From me.

I am a new Scythe player and had never really played a game like it before. I love board games though and it looked so fun. It really is! I am hooked and all the friends I have played it with now love it.So I ended up getting this expansion and it adds a new layer to the game and I really like the 2 new factions.I was a little worried about the pieces being damaged or the boards being bent, for some games I wouldn't care too much but this game is so tied up in it's unique, beautiful look that I want all the pieces to look great and well-made. None of the boards were bent or damaged and the pieces were in fantastic condition. The only thing was a couple of the mechs were not snapped into the plastic holder box when I received it, so they were kind of loose in the box, but they weren't damaged at all or anything. Would recommend.Overall, 5/5 stars.

If you have played scythe well.. not much to say about the game, about this 2 new factions, they are great, they introduce a few new mechanics... and more player boards making the game more variable and fun

Great to have more spaces usaged on the board. 7 players was a ton of fun. New class skills were only OK.

The two new factions integrate seamlessly into the base game. The miniatures look great and the additional player boards increase replayability. The traps and flags are an interesting mechanic for the new factions. Although Albion and Togawa have some powerful abilities, they don't feel overpowered. Unlike the other factions, they don't receive the Speed ability when deploying mechs. Great addition to an already great game. Although the expansion increases the player count to 7, I would not recommend playing with more than 3-5.

Buen producto, tubería preferido encontrarlo en español aunque no tengo problemas con el inglés mi familia y amigos si, pero al parecer ya no salen ediciones en español, de todas maneras feliz de haber conseguido esta expansión.
