Great quality wood. Thick with a nice weight and very smooth. It's got a nice dark colour and is very sturdy. Good size, easy to use and clean. Perk is it came in a lovely box. I would recommend

After learning about micro plastics - and black plastic being particularly carcinogenic - and that applying heat to plastic makes it break down and be more absorbed into the human body - cooking utensils was the first thing I wanted to replace.I was concerned after seeing many reviews about soaking these in water and seeing chemicals leak out, so when I bought these I did exactly that. I soaked them all in water, and I can say - for my batch at least, there wasnt any major chemicals or brown colour coming out.Anyhow - we have been using these for cooking for a couple months now and they have been amazing - we have been putting them in the dishwasher as well and have had no problems with splitting or anything so far.I love this set and the different range of utensils it comes with - I will report back if any problems arise in future, but for now they are perfect!
