Works great & looks good
My grandmother had a water barometer (the swan type) above the kitchen sink when I was a kid growing up on the coast. We relied on it to easily know when storms were coming — very helpful.Really loving this one. Works great! I don't check the weather app nearly as much because a quick glance at this barometer tells me when weather changes will occur soon.Low pressure fronts come before storms. So this barometer will give you a few hours warning and also tell you how bad the storm will be (high water level = big storm on the way).I like that it graphically displays barometric pressure. Getting numbers isn't nearly as useful as seeing the water expand and rise because the atmospheric pressure is low.It was a bit of a hassle to fill. Needed to to put in a syringe full of water and then tip the barometer over (with finger over the hole) to get the water into the bulb. Have to repeat a bunch of times to get the bulb filled 40-50% with water.Mine came with only yellow dye. Wanted it red like my grandmother's swan barometer, so I just used some food coloring.

Really reliable

Hard to fill, but once it’s set up it’s just fine.
I don’t have anything to test it with properly, but it’s pretty accurate. I can usually read it late at night to see how the morning might go. It didn’t come with blue powder and the instructions were in mandarin. But there’s photos and it doesn’t take a genius to figure it out. For what it costs it’s totally worth it. The glass seems thin, Id keep it away from kids and cats

Mystery Colors
1. I panicked when I saw the box inside the Amazon box. It was mangled.2. Three color pouches instead of the four or five it should have. Choices were a sickly orange, red and a packet that may have contained a deeper red at one time. There was just residue.3. Chinese instructions but some attempt at English was made with instructions that went to something else.4. It is set up and has already shown we are under a massive high pressure system (almost no fluid in the neck). Monday the remnants of a hurricane is supposed to hit. It will be interesting to see the weather change.5. Put a saucer under it if you live in areas with wild storms. Severe low pressure can push liquid out. If you’re in Quake Country, buy some museum wax to anchor this delicate baby to the shelf.Over all I like it. Will probably change the color at some point.

Love it
Came on time and intact. Well packed. Seems to really work. Love the look. Much smaller then I thought tho. Did not look at online measurements so probably is as described.
