It looks sleek, the lid opens wide via the release button. The spout is well designed and pours well. The water level indicator is wide and easy to see despite it being within the handle aperture. People often complain about this, but if you have the water indicator in the middle of the kettle on both sides the same people bash it on the tap when filling it then complain that it leaks, so you just can’t please them. It boils quite quickly but without making excessive noise, and switches off quite quickly once boiled. It has a nice blue indicator on the positive feeling switch. The cord is 75cm long. It has a 2 year guarantee but we extended it to 3 years very cheaply on Amazon. I can’t fault it, and it’s the best electric kettle we’ve ever bought. 5 stars.

It boils water quickly and quietly, and it turns off by itself when it's done. There's a nice blue light on the switch. The power cord is a good length at 75cm. It also comes with a 2-year warranty, and we extended it to 3 years on Amazon for a low price. Overall, it's the best electric kettle we've ever bought

What a difference to the other one that was delivered 2 days ago by a famous maker which turned out to be rubbish. This is very sturdy on the base nice to look at. At first I thought it was not working but it starts off silent probably because its only 2200w. but if it takes a few seconds longer to heat but is considerably quieter I dont mind that. So far so good.

I love this kettle:Your hand can fit inside from the top lid to clean itThe pouring spout is quite wide for faster pour.Boils very quickly.The noise level is fairly quiet.The cup level markings are accessible: big text which most manufacturers don't think about so well done Philips.The cord is a decent length not too short like so.e others.It turns itself off. Love that feature.Stainless steel means easier to clean the limescale off in hard water areas like I am in. My current kettle is plastic so won't do that again as it was hard to get limescale off.Well done Philips!!!

this is a good product, well worth the money i like the colour black it is quick so i dont have to wait long for my cup of tea.

Does the job, looks nice

Sturdy removable lid and spout strainer which makes it easy to clean. Boiling time slower than our last kettle which was the illuminating Russel Hobbs. For a family of 4, constantly on the go and in the need of a cup of tea, it gives us time to slow down a little

The first thing I noticed was that it only had a single vertical water level window and it was on the wrong side for left handed users! It was also about a centimetre higher than the defunct unit so that it did not quite fit under the tap when a bowl was present. 2kW heater, so slower to boil than the 3kW model it replaced. I could have checked these features before purchasing but it did not occur to me. It works and I am reasonably pleased with it.
