TETON - Extremely well made
These products are fantastic. They hold up to serious outdoor adventuring and are just as high quality as bags I've seen that are twice+ the cost. And have all the features. This TETON LEEF 30 bag is lightweight, compresses into a small size quickly and with ease, and is water resistant right out of the box. The interior is a soft brushed nylon, the zipper has a Velcro restraint on the bag to prevent it from coming undone when you're in it, should you toss and turn - some people report an issue with it opening, but all you have to do is put the pull tab on the zipper in the tab and close the velcro on it, it won't come undone. If you're doing warm weather camping, the 30 degree will be right for you. This will keep you nice and warm on nights that drop down into the low 50s.I also have a TETON LEEF 0 degree - This bag has about twice the filling, but compresses down nicely as well and has all the same great features. If you are doing spring or fall camping and expect temperatures to drop into the 30s, this bag will be more comfortable. As for sizing, I'm 5'8. I have the regular, and it has plenty of room, way more than I need. My wife has the short, and it is snug on me but fits - in an environment where heat retention really matters, the less dead space the better. And icing on the cake - I've only had to reach out to their customer support once (I own 4 Teton bags, and 2 Teton internal frame backpacks). Their support team is incredible, responsive, and helpful. They got back to me in the same afternoon. I couldn't ask for more.Mad props Teton, keep it up!

Warm, comfortable and reasonably light
For the price, no other sleeping bag comes close to the Teton Sports Leef 0-degree sleeping bag. I'm 6-foot and broad-shouldered, and found the smaller Teton Sports 20-degree Trailhead bag to be much too narrow in the shoulders to be used as anything other than a makeshift quilt. To its credit, the Trailhead bag kept me warm, even unzipped for use as a quilt, when temperatures dropped to the middle and lower 40s ... but I can use the Leef fully zipped and there's still plenty of headroom to draw the hood tight. Like all mummy bags, the Leef is confining, but as a side-sleeper it still worked for me. I couldn't roll over WITHIN the bag, but it was easy to turn myself AND the bag to the side. Like the Trailhead, the inner fabric of the Leef is a brushed material that is soft against the skin; it never feels wet, slippery or slick. And, as you'd expect, this bag feels considerably warmer as suggested by the lower temperature rating. About that rating: Like almost all sleeping bag companies, Teton Sports' temperature ratings should be considered "extreme" or "survival" ratings -- not "comfort" ratings. To figure out the temperature at which a bag will still keep you comfortable, the rule of thumb is to add 25 to 30 degrees to the advertised rating. So, with the Leef 0-degree bag, I can expect to get a decent night's sleep at 30 degrees. (To Teton Sports' credit, they tell customers upfront to be mindful of the fact that their temperature ratings are "extreme" level, not "comfort" level.)Other things to keep in mind about this bag:THE ZIPPERS -- There are two on one side of the bag, so you can leave one at the bottom and then zip the other one all the way to the top, and then, if you get warm, you can open that bottom zipper a bit for some venting near your feet. The zippers work well, and snags aren't an issue. It's odd that they placed the zippers on the left side of the bag, however, since it makes zipping things up a bit more awkward for right-handed people.THE COMPRESSION BAG: It seems durable and perfectly sized for the bag, so feeding the bag back into it is easy enough. The fully attached compression straps do a good job of minimizing the overall size.OVERALL SIZE: Even in its compression bag, the Leef is still about 50% to 75% larger than the Trailhead bag in its stuff-sack. This means it won't fit into the sleeping bag compartment at the bottom of the popular Teton Sports Scout 3400 backpack -- but of course that pack allows you to unzip that compartment so it's not walled off from the rest of the backpack. Simply unzip that compartment and then drop (or rather, wedge) the Leef into the bottom of the Scout 3400 from the top opening of the backpack. You'll see it eats up close to half the 3400's available space, so if you're upgrading from the Trailhead bag to the much larger Leef, you may also want to upgrade your pack from the Scout 3400, which has a 55-liter capacity, to the Teton Sports Explorer bag, which comes in both a 65-liter and a 75-liter size. >>>UPDATE: The long version of the Leef sleeping bag is far too big to fit inside the sleeping bag compartment of even the 75-liter Explorer backpack, which is a real disappointment. I assumed Teton Sports would have upsized the sleeping bag compartment of its larger backpacks so they would accommodate the company's own larger-sized sleeping bags -- but they did not. I will still be able to haul the Leef inside my Explorer backpack by opening up the segregated compartment and inserting and removing the Leef from the top of the Explorer, but of course that means I'll have to take out EVERYTHING in the pack each time I need to access or re-pack the Leef. That's not something anyone would want to do in the rain...

Not my cup of tea
TLDR; internal fabric was uncomfortable for me, and the short size was much smaller than anticipated (I'm 5'3, it's rated for folks under 5'7 and I barely fit in it). Despite using it incorrectly (as a sleeping quilt) because it was too small, it prevented me from getting cold in a 35° alpine storm. Would recommend, just make sure to get the sizing right and be prepared for a cotton interior.I want to start by saying I really wanted to like this bag. I was so excited to get it, it was my first nice backpacking bag and I knew it was going to be pretty chilly on our upcoming trip so I wanted to get a proper bag. I read so many reviews raving about it, and I was so stoked to give try it out.I ordered the short size because I'm 5'3 and they say the bag is 6'3 and for people under 5'7, so I thought it'd be a good fit. I was wrong 😞 I tried the bag out when it came and it just barely fit me from foot to head. Once in it, I couldn't move at all. Again, I was so excited by the bag that I thought I'd be able to make it work, so I decided to bring it on the trip. Our first night out, we were camping in a cloud so it was chilllllyy. I got in the bag and it was toasty, but the cotton fabric on the inside gripped my fleece leggings and sweater so I really couldn't move. I ended up getting claustrophobic, completely unzipped the bag and used it like a sleeping quilt instead. The second night out, we were camping at 5000 ft and a storm rolled through in the night. The temp dipped to 35°, with incredible winds and rain beating on the tent. The reason I say this is despite me not using the bag correctly, I didn't get chilled. Sure, there were points where I was absolutely not warm, but I wasn't shivering and I was able to get comfortable enough to sleep upon repositioning. The issues I had with the bag are like 75% on me for not doing better research or getting the bag earlier on for a car camping trip that I could have had a backup on in case I didn't like it. The fabric on the inside is incredibly warm and truly is just a preference thing for me! As for the sizing, I should have looked more in depth into the specs, and I recommend folks do it as well. The short size is probably better suited for kids than adults.Despite my issues with the bag that's causing me to return it, I still recommend it! It is a reasonable weight for backpacking, compacts and rolls super well (it fit in my 45L bag), and is super warm.

Comfortable, doesn't meet temp rating.
I recently camped in -14C with wind chill I climbed in with a base, mid and top layer on, plus a toque and I was uncomfortable all night. I was quite comfortable when it was only -5C

Great Budget Sleeping Bag!
This sleeping bag is just what I was looking for. Love the mummy bag, the inside pocket is a nice feature for my phone and keeping the water filter from freezing.I was aware that the weight would be a bit heavier than I like but the bag is cozy and will keep me warm much better than my old bag. I would buy this sleeping bag for other family members and recommend it to friends!
