Very good product

It's not about me, it's about my wife.
I absolutely love this product. After several months of use it has made my beard far more manageable and much softer. What I think about it pales in comparison to what my wife thinks though. She has sensitive skin and she can't have oily hair rubbing on her face. This stuff cleans the beard so well that she can snuggle in it and love every minute of it. She says it's the most manly scent she's ever smelled and can't get enough of it. Use it with the beard oil after a shower and use a little balm periodically between showers and your wife will absolutely love it. Mine does!I would like to see it in a larger bottle but it does last awhile due to the small quantity needed to clean my beard.

What a difference
I read many articles and blogs where the writer stressed the importance of not using normal shampoo and conditioner on facial hair. I shrugged my shoulders and figured the writer was biased. However, after reading one too many of the afore mentioned articles/blogs, I caved and purchased Seven Portions Beard Shampoo and their Beard Oil. Wow. After one week there is a distinct difference in the appearance of my mutton chops. They are less wiry and have taken on the texture and appearance of actual "head hair" (or, in my case, the band of hair that grows above my ears). It helps if you purchase a "beard comb", as they are stronger than the plastic ones.

The smell is not bad but it’s not that good either but I’m not ...
I just got this product along with the oil and wax, and used it for the first time. First the bottle is extremely small for the price you are paying I was surprised to see the size. The smell is not bad but it’s not that good either but I’m not complaining about the smell. However, it does work!!!! It made my beard soft. I have tried many other products but I really liked it. Like I said I only used it once and I like it. It’s just too expensive for the size but it does work.

A little goes a long way.
For what I get out of this product it is a great value. I use about a dime to a quarter size amount and have had it for almost 3 months. Use it all the time since my beard gets sweaty due to me working out a lot. I love how much lather it has but not to much. I love the manley scent that smells fresh and clean.

Amazing product!!
I've used a number of beard products over the last few years and nothing comes close to Seven Potions Beard Shampoo for Men in overall performance!!! Great smell, lathers well, leaving me feeling clean! 5 stars!

Meh
For fans of Lemon Pledge. I quite like the feeling of this shampoo. It works up a generous lather easily and smells nice enough. Only qualm? The price. Like... I don’t mind paying good money for “luxurious” and “unnecessary but psychologically satisfying” products, but the cost to benefit ratio just isn’t there for me. Will I buy it again? Only if I continue using the other Seven Potions woodland harmony scented stuff. It’s likely I’ll try to find better smelling stuff though.

Seven Potions Convert
After buying Seven Potions Beard Oil (Woodland Harmony) and then their Boar Bristle Brush, decided I’d try out their Beard Shampoo.Side Note: The only reason I hadn’t tried it earlier is because I was finishing off one I had from a different brand that I always used.As my side note says, I always used another brand but, Seven Potions is my go to for shampoo and oil. Can’t fault the product, cleans out the beard perfectly while nourishing it and smells amazing.Top Tip: A little goes a long way. Which is brilliant because you don’t have to use so much and the product lasts a lot longer.Definitely a big fan of Seven Potions and their products, subscribe to their Beard Oil, I never subscribe to anything, which says a lot for their products.

2.5 Stars but complicated...
In my quest to rid my bathroom of plastic and other nasties, I was pleased to see this uses a biodegradeable container, so big plus there, and the fact that the ingredients seem not to have any SLS or parabens in them is great, too. I have used other products from the same company and been very pleased. This lathers-up and washes my large beard very well... so why only 2.5 stars? Well I'm not sure if it was just my bottle but this really doesn't smell very good, in fact it smells bad! To me (and my wife) it smells of burned rubber - nothing foresty or woodlandy whatsoever. I assumed there must be something amiss so, after a skin-test (just to make sure there was nothing in it that was dangerous) I used it to see how it was. As I say, it washes well but the scent doesn't improve. Thankfully it doesn't really linger in the beard, and once I've got oil in it it's not detectable.I contacted the company who said that they had no other reports of issues with the batch and offered to replace if I posted it back, but that would have cost me another fiver, and I wasn't prepared to spend out any more, which brings me to the other reason it looses stars... the price. I appreciate that the ingredients are not cheap, and the packaging must add a fait bit to the cost, but this will only do a few washes - 100ml is less than 6 tablespoons!I would far rather buy from a smaller, UK company with the ethos of Seven Potions, and I expect to pay more, but I can get a vegan-friendly, paraben-free beard wash from a big, well-respected cosmetics company for a quarter of the price - and it washes as well and smells great. Problem is, it contains SLS.The search continues!

Fantastic product...except....
Having used a few different lotions and potions since becoming a fully fledged beardsman, Seven Potions has been a name on my radar for some time. I thought I'd give it a try and...well...I was quietly surprised. The product itself is amazing (have been using for a few weeks now) and even with a fuller beard and a few days worth of oils and balms in play, you only need a small amount of product to really get a decent lather that gets going instantly. Post wash too, my beard feels soft and nourished (unlike other brands I've tried that feel like they are stripping away essential oils). There is a but coming...the woodland harmony fragrance? There's not that much harmony in this woodland. Personal preference but the scent is a little away from harmonious. Can't quite put my finger on it, maybe a little too...artificial? That being said, it doesn't linger and is then masked by whatever the next product in my beard grooming regime is (usually oil). Will give the Citrus version a try next but all in all, a worthwhile, VFM product that does a great job of cleaning, but leave the scent to other products.

Just wow. What a potion this is
So, I wasn't sure about this product at first because I've always been a little cautious when products are advertised as the 'best' because a. it's open to interpretation, and b. what works for some may not work for others. Nonetheless, after a bit of online research and being drawn by not only the brand name, but also the ethos of the company, all the way to the image displayed by their packaging and labels which interested me, I ordered this product.Initially, I was a bit disappointed. It smelled good but tended to feel like it was stripping and drying the beard hair out. At least that's how it felt. Nonetheless, I put this down to the introduction of new product and decided to bear with it and keep using it, twice a week or so. Although I've been using beard balms and oils for years, my beard had never before seen a dedicated shampoo treatment as I had always thought it was okay to wash the beard along with the head hair routine. Let tell you something for nothing. This really is a potion and a half. A little goes a very long way. Leaves the beard feeling and looking fresh, full, and conditioned, this shampoo brings out natural beard 'spring' of colours and the scent is manly enough without being too much so. I love it, my partner loves it, and I've had nothing but positive comments since I've been using it. I wish I'd taken the larger bottle option but I didn't see this until just after placing the order. I'm super excited about this product, and I can't wait to try out more beard care products from this range. Hat's off, Seven Potions. Well played.

Very little product and expensive for the price
Beware of the description that it's a tiny 100ml bottle as the picture makes it seem that it's much bigger. Since this isn't a beard oil when only a few drops will do, this goes out extremely quickly. While it has a good scent and it features quality ingredients I must say that this beard shampoo is much more expensive than others of similar quality that have the double of the quantity in the bottle and are only a fraction of the price, even for entirely natural brands such as Bulldog also from the UK. So even though the product is adequate I find it highly overpriced for what it is.
