Easy to use
For my projects, I often build individual components or modules, and I like to connect them together using male/female plugs so that I can easily disconnect and remove an individual module for servicing if necessary, and then easily reinstall it without having to cut and re-solder a bunch of wires each time. It is often surprisingly hard to find suitable connectors -- often, they are the wrong size, or I can only find a male or female connector, but not both.I'm happy to report that this connector kit is a versatile solution. It allows you to easily build custom connector pairs (male and female) with anywhere from 2 through 10 connector pins for each connector, and the male and female pins come pre-crimped to wires of a variety of colors, making it easy to build a custom connector pair suitable to your purposes. The fact that these connector pins come pre-crimped to the wires, so that you don't have to crimp them or solder them yourself, is very welcome.Just like in the video in this listing, you just snap the pins into the connectors, and that's pretty much it. You do have to make sure that the pin is rotated into correct orientation when sliding the pin into the connector, because there is a small clip in each pin that keeps the pin in the connector once it's snapped in, and that needs to be in the right place when you snap the pin in. Additionally, I found that, especially with the larger connectors that use the male pins, I had to get a something like a butter knife and gently bend the pins into the proper position after inserting them into the connector, as they did not directly line up with the female "sockets" of the mating connector. If you build a connector set and the pins don't line up correctly, you'll just want to take a close look to see how they are missing each other and gently, slightly bend the pins accordingly. In my case, they were never that far off.The other thing to be careful of is to make sure you are ordering the right sized version of this kit that you need for your project, as there are apparently about 3 different versions of this kit available, with the connectors and spacing of the pins within the connectors being different in each version. When I first saw one if the kits listed, I saw it described as having 2.5mm spacing between the pins, so I figured that a 10-pin connector would be about an inch wide (as 1 inch is 25.4mm). But when I got the product, I was surprised to find that my connectors were about half the size I expected. I then found that I had accidentally ordered a kit with 1.2mm spacing between the pins. This was fine for me, as space is at a premium where I am installing my current project, but this is something you may want to be aware of. There is also a difference in wire gauge in the supplied wires between some of the different versions of these kits.

PVC Wire with Pros and Cons
This kit comes with PVC insulated 28AWG wire. This wire isn't as flexible as the silicone version but the stiffer wire makes it easier to insert the crimped end into the plastic housing. This kit includes male and female connectors from 2P to10P.If you need 7P to 10P connectors, this is the set to get. If you don't need more than 6P then I suggest the kit with silicone wires. If you plan to make a lot of connectors, you should probably get this set and the silicone wire set.The connectors in this set work just fine with the 1.25mm connectors in the silicone wire set.Keep in mind, these are small connectors. You can't power normal sized servos with this sort of connector. These connectors are mainly used on data lines.

Wonderful
My husband deals in HO Trains and needed these for his trains. They are working great.

How to orient the wire male & female into the connectors
No written instructions, no photos of which way the terminals on the end of the wires should be oriented before inserting it into the male and female connectors. I have tried every possible orientation with no success. Very frustrating! Will look for color coded wires already attached elsewhere. These would be excellent for wiring DCC decoders for HO if they worked.

Molex 1.25mm pico blade compatible connectors
I haven't used them as yet but they look like they'll be fine with molex pico blade connectors.
