This is my first bar shampoo, and I am absolutely in LOVE. I've been dealing with dandruff and super itchy scalp for a couple months now. 😫 my locs are free form, with loc extensions I made out of kanekalon hair from cyberlox shop. I maintain them with a .6mm crochet hook for grow out and all the fuzz from getting caught on velcro from safety vests, rough plastic hardhats, zippers etc (they get caught on everything lol). I drive truck hauling intermodal containers from a train up to a huge landfill all day, and my hair is down to my butt. It's very heavy and painful to keep in a pony tail, as I'm constantly turning my head to back my trailer and check my mirrors as I drive up and an extremely narrow road with ZERO shoulder along with 40 other trucks passing by etc. So my hair is in consistent contact with literally bio-hazardous mud over and over when I'm unhooking/hooking my trailer from/to my truck when dumping containers. I also have to wear a hard hat every time I'm outside my truck. So my hair is exposed to some really harsh conditions all the time!!! I cannot use regular shampoos as they just exacerbate the whole itchy dandruff situation, and my normal wash routine is once a month. However, with this job, I have been needing to adjust that time frame up to maybe every 3 weeks or so, and now I actually feel like I CAN because this soap truly cleans these long locs so thoroughly without leaving crap behind and makes my scalp feel so much better!!! And it cleans both my real locs as well as my crocheted extensions equally asthoroughly! Hooray! By the way, it smells AMAZING. so good. Omg. Definitely not a manly scent tho lol but hey. If you don't care, I don't care 🫠 others on here have been vague on the scent and someone said something about VS lovespell, which I don't think I agree with but at the same time, I've never bought that stuff only smelled it on others lol I can tell you it is extremely SWEET and FLORAL, with strong notes of SWEET CITRUS. The floral is dominating, the citrus compliments that beautifully. I also use it on my body, and I finally don't have itchy flaky skin in this harsh season in the PNW. It's a wonderful product. Honestly. It came in one piece, undamaged, the box has a bit of a wax lining inside I think, because it's holding up nicely as the storage container directly after use (I take it with my to work to shower in the locker room so I don't bring home any unwanted nasties like from the dead livestock that we dump up there or the human waste sent down from Alaska, or the medical needles we dump as well, you get the picture) this soap keeps me feeling like a clean, pretty lady amongst the garbage. FREEDOM FIGHTER APPROVED!!!

Absolutely love this product for my locs. It really cleans, the scent isn’t strong and it last me for quite some time. It suds better than shampoos in my opinion and it doesn’t give the dry feeling afterward like my hair has been stripped. I’m excited to try more of their products! Good ingredients too! That’s a must for us natural folks!

Love the way it smells! It lathers so nice & cleaned my locs. Very easy to use since its a bar. I definitely prefer this over liquod shampoo.

Pros: Smells great, lathers nicely and rinses clean. Leaves locs soft and without residue trapped in the locs.Cons: Pricey and the presentation was horrible. The box was destroyed and the bar itself was smashed to the point of looking like hardened Playdoh. If you plan to buy this as a gift, don't for that reason only. I will purchase this again because it is not a gift and is easier for both my teenage daughters to use in the shower and it rinses clean. I wish the price were cheaper though.

I love how much easier it was to wash my locs. I was able to really get a good lather and made washing the shaft of my locs so much easier. Definitely worth it. And it smells really good.

Back story: Found out that I have a sensitivity to a chemical in most soaps that causes contact dermatitis, so I had to discontinue using my shampoo. I tried this and it was easier to use than I was expecting it to be, and it did a great job of cleaning my locs.Love the smell too, and I ended up using it as a regular soap. I was excited that it didn’t make me itch, and was actually fairly moisturizing.So far, my scalp is neither itchy nor flaking, and the dermatitis on my face hasn’t shown up again after decades of having it.Highly recommended, especially if you have sensitive skin.

I have used this shampoo bar twice and I love it. I wash and style my locs myself every month to every other month. However, this shampoo bar is so good to my hair and scalp that I have gone much longer without shampooing it and the itching is nonexistent. My locs look good, my hair and scalp still smell fresh!! I use a mixture of rose water, tea tree essential oil and Haitian Black Castor Oil to moisturize my scalp and hair.I was very skeptical about this shampoo bar but it has proven to work very well fir my hair and scalp. Already purchased two more bars to have on hand.👍🏾
