Q: How long till the fingers blow out?

the leather is pretty good, it's the other material on the back of the fingers that falls apart.

Q: how many pairs are in the package and what is the size?

5 pairs (10 gloves, 5 left, 5 right). These are the standard leather work glove. A pair usually lasts me 6 months for home garden use. They do have an odor when they are new. If it bothers you, use a garden hose to wash them down and let them dry in the sun.

Q: I'm 6'5 and 225 pounds, good sized hands, not unusual fo rmy size: are these large size gloves big enougth, maybe oversized?

I'm 185 lb and 5' 10". They are a tight fit for me.

The gloves are durable, and they protect your hands from thorns, branches, etc. They are more durable than thin gardening gloves.
