UmbraFlex Soap Dish with Patented Gel-Lock Technology Suction Cup, White

I have a fiberglass shower that has a wavy texture so I can't use any suction cup type things. They just fall off. As other reviewers mentioned, sometimes you receive the gel type and sometimes you get the one that sticks on. I ordered two gel type but received one of each. Contacted Amazon and was sent another gel type. So now I've had two of the gel type stuck to the wall for a couple of months now and they are solid! Done are the days of messing with the shower caddy thing that is in the way and moves from side to side. These little gel things are great. I have my soap, razor, miscellaneous things sitting up in the corner out of the way. It says to tighten them every now and then so I've tested but haven't needed to do it. Wish I'd found these twenty years ago.

You this works pretty damn well, and the technology used to adhere the dish soap to the surface of your shower wall like tile wall for example is pretty cool. At first I just stuck it on the wall and it fell off immediately. After reading the literature, and putting some common sense to play you actually figure it out. So the suction cup is not a ordinary one and it’s not adhesive either. They way that it works is you use the knob with the picture of a lock/unlock depending on the direction. As you turn it in the locking direction the device uses the gel as an adhesive to form a airlock seal.. sorta like vacuum sealing. And bam! Stuck on strong and I couldn’t even pull it out. And ofcourse to remove the dish soap and move to another location just turn the knob in the unlock direction until it loses suction and falls off... works prettt damn well and very smart. I hate those double sided foam tapes that lose suction and or doesn’t come off cleanly. This can be moved and moved and don’t have to worry about damaging the surface. The flush soap is a really durable plastic, very thick so doesn’t seam like it will break or get brittle. I’m glad I tried the product instead of reading the ignorant reviews.

I purchased this product a little bit ago, but only recently got a chance to finally hang it up in our bathroom now that the remodel is complete. So far so good! I purchased this because I was tired of the soap getting small and slipping through the wire holders we had. It's plastic and feels pretty sturdy. I liked that it was a suction cup but that it allowed you to tighten it to lock it in place and secure it even more. I also like that the tray is moveable, spins and is not in a fixed position. It does have openings in the tray for the water to drain out and dry. I would definitely recommend purchasing this if you are looking for something simple, not too expensive and sturdy.

Easy to install, but the suction cups do not work, despite tightening the screw. I do not recommend buying these.

Does what it was intended for, nothing much else to say

I had really low expectations when purchasing this soap dish. I’ve been frustrated to no end trying to keep my shower bar soap from melting in a puddle of water. This little thing has been a gem! Sticks firmly on white subway tile (I followed the instructions for mounting — do that even if you think “it’s a soap dish, I got this.”) and it’s holding true through occasional accidental bumping. I mounted it where it wouldn’t constantly be hit by running water, and the water from my hands runs off the bar effectively (seems to be lasting longer without the goo puddle). ALSO, the soap that does run through the dish isn’t dripping down the tile creating a soap scum mess. Really simple genius.

This is my second dish. First one last several years. Allows soap bar to remain dry.

I pasted the soap dish in the shower. Initially, I was happy with it but it fell after around 3 weeks. I think the adhesion is fine but not good enough for a shower where there could be steam.

Excelente producto, lo compré hace 4 meses y ha servido muy bien; en el transcurso de esos 4 meses se despegó en una ocasión, pero sinceramente, tiene bastante capacidad de soporte, usualmente le pongo un jabón de 200gr y todo bien. Creo que le hace competencia al soporte para jabón de IKEA modelo KROKFJORDEN, tanto en precio y calidad. Tengo otros productos marca Umbra, y todos son buenos, los Canadienses ofrecen un concepto alternativo al de los Suecos, en ocasiones con diseños más bonitos

Easy to install. Hasn’t fallen off once and it’s been up about a week. Love it.

Thought it was good quality but it keeps falling off. Also had the double hood of the same company and same thing.. I was so tired of trying to put it back to have it fall off again that I just put it in the garbage.
