This is my first ever air fryer. I love the fact that I can SEE the food cooking inside the unit, and it's made of glass, not some black teflon type stuff, so no worries about chemicals. The dials are simple and analog. There are no beeping sounds, just a ticking timer, the soft fan noise, and a gentle "ding" like an old-fashioned kitchen timer when it's done. The "grabber" it comes with for removing the racks or basket was a little tricky to maneuver at first, but now that I'm used to it, I also use it to remove the round cake pan I sometimes use for cooking more liquidy foods. 2-layer cooking is good if you want to cook a lot at once, and the self-cleaning setting is a cool "extra." It doesn't use overmuch power and I can even use it on the same circuit as my instant pot, at the same time. It's fun to watch the halogen light glow over the food, like some kind of movie theater popcorn machine. I use it to toast bread, bake cinnamon rolls, toast nuts, dry-"boil" eggs, bake potatoes, cook okra...pretty much everything but make soup or chili, or boil water.

The lid did not lock in place as indicated. The handle was supposed to cut the heat off when lifted and didn't. I had to unplug the unit just to turn meat over. Doesn't brown like it is advertised. Meat was tough. There was nothing about this item I did like. I can broil or grill easier and tastes a lot better. Doesn't save time either.

This is my favorite appliance. I hardly ever use my oven anymore, this is so much easier to heat and clean. I always cook my Thanksgiving turkey in the Big Boss, and it turns out perfectly every time - very moist and delicious. Tater tots, stuffed jalapenos, nachos, chops, burgers, veggies... I highly recommend this product.

Easy to clean dishwasher safe love it

I like that its a lid that does everything and you just put it on top of everything. It needs air flow so is hard to fill it up with large amounts. It cooks very well. It's easy to use, and easy to clean. It was well worth the price.

Update 10-7-2016 - I've had this less than a week and it is not working correctly. The timer is going off with 2-3 left to go, the food is not coming out cooked even close. Very cheap product.I didn't realize something of this price and purpose would not be built with a digital timer and temperature setting seeing how most of the others seem to be.. but that's how it is. You can't get an exact cooking temperature or time as a result. I bought this because I spilled juice all over my VonShef - Big Boss has not cooked the same foods as well as my VonShef and maybe not getting correct times and temperatures is the explanation - the VonShef started the time once it got to temperature. Also, the top isn't attached, you have to take off something that could be 450 degrees and set it on a counter - that's a serious concern and potentially serious accident waiting to happen - it can damage counters, silicone/wood utensils, or fall of the counter and really burn someone or a pet. Or, it ties up one of your hands while you try to juggle your food out... either way, it's a poor design. It's like a very cheap amateur product with the type of technology you'd find in an elementary classroom during the 1980's.It would be fine if it were $49, but no way a decent buy at $90. As of 10-3-16, 25% of the people who purchased this product are rating it 1 Star - take that to heart before you pull the trigger.

The media could not be loaded. Love this airfryer. Especially that’s it’s non-toxic. It has a 16 quart glass bowl and stainless steel trays for cooking!! It also fits nicely on your counter. Highly recommended.

We loved this air fryer, but we had it for 6 months and the button to turn it on and off completely broke making the air fryer unusable. It’s a pricey machine to only last 6 months. Such a shame because it did an amazing job.
