high quality and really cute with the novelty colours
High quality and really cute with the novelty colours (who'd have thought a nappy bin could be so stunning?). Its a bit pricey but you should save money in the long run over purchasing from a brand that uses novelty bags (them refills run for like £30 a month which is absolutely insane, I much prefer brands like this where you can use regular bin bags). It contains odour very well when it is sealed because steel is not porous, and I love the locking feature. Smell will escape a bit when you re-open the bin of course, but if you wish to limit this you can seal the nappies in individual nappy bags before placing into the larger bin bag. Nice and easy to clean and wipe down as needed. I felt very frivolous spending so much money on a nappy bin but now I have it I am very satisfied with my decision, I am even considering another in a different colour so we have one for upstairs and one for downstairs (although I'll admit this is a little excessive - I just really want another pretty colour lol).

Fantastic nappy bin
This bin is a lifesaver for parents! It actually keeps bad smells locked in, and you don’t need to buy expensive special bags—just use normal ones. The steel body makes a big difference compared to plastic bins, and the sliding lid keeps things simple and mess-free. It’s a bit pricey, but if you want a reliable, odor-blocking nappy bin, this one’s worth it.

Great bin, still saving money everyday 3.5 years on with baby No. 2
Great bin, still saving money everyday 3.5 years on with baby No. 21. No significant additional costs for bin bags, simply use the cheap but sturdy bags from the supermarket2. No smell once closed... we had a normal bin at first & the whole room smelled of poo after one nappy.3. Great capacity, so you don't have to change it too often; even with two kids in nappies3. Baby can't access the smelly nappies thanks to the handy lock... until they figure it out about 18 months4. Solid metal construction, all looks, & functions still the same after 3 years+ Quick tip... change the bag outside as the smell is horrendous when changing over the bags!

Life saver from the smells!
I bought this bin after doing a lot of research into nappy bins. Our previous one was plastic and the smells eventually started to linger. This bin is metal and locks the smell in a lot more effectively. It’s also a great size so can fit a lot of nappies before it needs changing. I also love that I can use standard bin bags instead of the cassette ones. It is an expensive bin, so definitely a bit of a luxury but I’m pleased with it and just glad I haven’t got the smell of nappies every time I walk into my daughter’s room now!

Think long term.
The cost up front of this nappy pail is high, no doubt. However, after doing some sums I realised that this was actually much better value than the other nappy bins that twist and package each nappy.Firstly, this looks great and is very well constructed and feels quality. It’s easy to clean, and spray disinfectant spray in it when I change the bag.Secondly, you can use your own bin bag, which over time you will be using this (years!) will save a lot of money in comparison to competitor I mentioned earlier. The refills for those are very expensive.Thirdly, it does it’s job VERY well. Our boy is breastfed and is 10 weeks old now. We can fill this with days worth of nappies and it doesn’t smell at all. I actually cannot believe it. We wrap dirty nappies and wipes in a bag and then put them in this pail. We change it every few days, when it is full. When you have so much to do as a new parent, you just want things that work. We are not extravagant parents, we have literally only bought this and a baby carrier new and everything else has been second hand. Although it may feel counter intuitive to spend so much money on what is essentially just a bin, it really is worth it due to the performance.

Does not live up to the hype
I’m very rarely moved to leave a review for anything, but I’m so frustrated with the performance of this nappy bin that I want to prevent others spending money unnecessarily! In positives: the bin is more stylish than most, slimline and easy to use. But the reason I paid such an enormous amount of money for a bin (a bin!) was because of the promise that the steel doesn’t absorb smells. This has turned out to be a total lie. The seal on the bin is pretty good, so when closed it’s not awful (though you can definitely smell it) but it only took a couple of months (if that) for the interior of the bin to absolutely stink even without anything in it so whenever you open the lid it’s pretty grim, regardless of what nappies you have in there. Perhaps there is no perfect nappy bin, but I’m incredibly annoyed that I bought into the hype and overspent on this, when a cheaper alternative would have been the same in terms of smell. Buy the bin if you’re happy to spend on aesthetic, but don’t bother if the smell is the key thing for you.

Keeps odours locked in!
I’ve had this a while but only started using in the last 6 weeks. Very easy to use and I like the simplicity of the mechanism. It does keep odours locked in and holds a good amount of (newborn nappies!). But it is an expensive outlay. I’d only buy if you know you definitely want a nappy bin (I live NE Scotland and on my second winter baby) because you want to avoid constant cold trips to black bin!Price is the only reason for the 4* , hopefully recouping from not having to buy expensive refills. I bought the uni odour neutraliser and it appears to be working aswell!

Great product
I recently purchased the Ubbi diaper bin and I am impressed with its quality. The sturdy construction and sleek design make it a perfect fit in any nursery. One of the standout features is its exceptional ability to lock in unpleasant odors, thanks to its effective sealing mechanism. I love that it doesn't require any special bin liners, which not only saves money but also reduces environmental waste. The Ubbi diaper bin has made diaper changing a much more pleasant experience, and I highly recommend it to parents looking for a reliable and efficient diaper disposal solution.
