Rainbow Dust ProGel Professional Food Colouring (Baby Blue, 25g)

This product was really good to achieve the right “blue” for my coronation cake. You do need to add quite a bit of the colouring to achieve the blue in the photo for a sponge and more so for icing (but that was just how I wanted it). Would recommend to all bakers :)

This is the best colour gel I've ever tried! In the past I've used liquid dyes and never achieved the desired colour I wanted, they always came out a nasty black colour and I could never understand why, especially when watching YouTube videos.By chance I discovered this on Amazon and thought I'd give it a go. A little really goes a long way, you only need the tiniest of a squeeze to achieve a rich red colour (no more than 1g according to the instructions on the tube).I wanted this mainly so I could make red velvet cupcakes. My first attempt I put a little too much in making it come out an extremely artificial type red colour. On my second attempt I added a very tiny amount of the gel and a small spoonful of cocoa powder to the batter to achieve a slightly darker more rich regal red colour. I highly recommend it, and would definitely buy it again and use other colours in the Pro Gel Rainbow dust range.

Perfect colour for what I needed

Positives first - Very easy to use, don't need much for a good colour to come out so long lasting too.Negatives - came late due to strikes but what ya gonna do. Also the colour was not as bright as the Wilton one. I have both and this one comes out less vibrant. I needed it for Christmas cupcakes so it wasn't really an issue for me.Have attached pics - the first one is using this leaf green and the 2nd one is using Wilton's. Obviously also depends on the amount you use. Hope this was helpful!

I’ve tried a lot of food colourings and this is definitely one I had to make a review on as it is so good! The colour is great but it’s also easy to use and you don’t need a lot to achieve a colour unlike others I’ve tried.

I really like this brand of food colouring. They hold their colour when baking, strong concentrated so you don’t have to use much and most importantly they don’t leave a nasty taste. These are my go to along with colour mill

I have been trying different brands and always have problems with red. some brands you need nearly a whole pot or tube to get a good red. I tried extra red by a well known company but kept getting black specs in the dried icing. I decided to give this one a try ,and was very pleasantly surprised. You do not need much to get a really vibrant red, and it dries lovely. I am so impressed I am going to order the other colors too.
