Nostalgic phone and clear to use

This phone is lightweight, not heavy like the originals from the 80's, loud ringing, and clear voice volume for those hard of hearing. Highly recommend if you have someone that needs a simpler phone that is hard of hearing. The light flashing when it rings is an added bonus.

I like the phone but I dislike the buzzing sound in the background while you talk. I changed it thinking it was a defective phone but the new one does the same thing.

Set up phone for my mom. Phone rings but the flash light for incoming calls don't flash. Moms in a nursing home so I just can't send it back. It's not that simple.

Not as heavy as the old original phones, which I know sounds like a plus, but part of what I wanted was the heft of those old-school phones. Plus, it *seems* smaller although everyone else who looked at it in real life assured me it was of appropriate size.Other than that, it has the mechanical ringer, when you shake it you can hear the bell, and it seems good quality, if light, although I never plugged it in to test it. Button press feels pretty good. Other than the weight (and maybe the size although again that may just be bias on my part) its like a functional version of the old-style phones in non-cigarette smoke stained plastic.

I bought a $20 flip phone from the dollar store (Pre-paid phone) and I ordered the Cell-2-Jack to go with this cool phone. Now I turn the Bluetooth on my cell phone to "on" to connect with the Cell 2 jack and BOOM! I now have a portable Land line set up that just costs me $16 a month. And Yes this phone works Amazing. The middle of the handset has a switch to turn the volume up and down. I keep my flip phone next to this phone as a caller ID because the face shows who is calling. This phone IS LOUD. If you put it in a full and carpeted room then yes the acoustics will be muffled down to hard to hear so I put in my hall and the sound bounces off the walls loudly. The dial keys are quality feel and there is a panel where my finger is to place your phone # ....This phone does not use batteries or plug into the wall. You can do it the way I did it (No cords and grab to go ) or just plug your phone into it as needed.
