I've only had this alarm a couple days and am very happy so far. Came ready to install, batteries already installed. I read reviews about the weakness of the adhesive tape. I chose to buy Velcro-stick poster tape - attaching one sticker to the cleaned door - Velcro side out, and another to the magnets - Velcro side out. Then I pressed the Velcro sides together for a very secure hold. I did the same with the alarm (tape sides on surfaces, Velcro sides out, press together to secure). This allows the alarm and magnets to be taken off and put back on simply by peeling apart the Velcro layers.- It's important to make sure that the magnets and the alarm are very close and at the same level on both the door and the wall for the bell or alarm sound (the two noise choices) to be triggered when the door is open.The alarm/bell can be heard through the home. Too soon to know about battery life. I am very happy with the Velcro adhesive tape solution AND I will be taking one when I travel for added motel or AirBnB security.

It's been about a month and so far they're still working great! I saw some of the negative reviews but still took a gamble. I AM NOT PAID. I cant stand fake reviews!! So, my advice, place them up high on the door frame so they don't get touched or bumped at all. That also gives you easy access to the maneuver the alarm switch that's on the bottom. CLEAN AND DRY THE SPOT FIRST!! I used two bleach wipes, dried and placed immediately. Still holding firm. Handle with care! Don't man-handle them or touch the sticky with your fingers. You'll definitely lose the stickiness if you do. The alarm is LOUD which is great! There's two alarm sounds. A ding dong chime and a break in type alarm. And like I said, it's been about a month and still going strong! I plan on getting more in the future if the price stays the same.

These work great as a notification. However if your kid is sneaky like mine is, they will just pull up a chair & turn it off when you aren’t looking. Maybe some way to child proof that would make it 5/5

I was surprised that these worked very well. We learned the hard way that we needes it when my Alzheimer's Mom brought the cops home. Great value for the money. Next time Momma went out, the piercing alarm went off. I was able to stop her quickly and get her back in the house. Very easy to install with the adhesive. Pull the strip off and secure it to the door. I felt more secure knowing that this little device keeps Mom safe.

They are very useful, the sound mode is loud, perfect for scaring away any intruder. I reccomend it.

Depending on your doors and windows these may be a little tricky to install. I have wooden coving around my doors and it was hard to get these in the right place to work, that didn't affect the opening of the door. With a bit of creativity and extra 3m stickers, I've done it but I'm not sure how long it will last. Alarm is loud and perfect to alert you of intruders or little ones getting out. Would be better if it had volume control, but for the price they are fine.
