I have to say, after reading a lot of the reviews, I almost returned this without even opening the box once it arrived, but I'm glad I did. It was very well packed, and took some doing to get it opened, but once I put it on the table, I see the value of having this on my new glass dining room table. My old one was so scratched up you almost could not see thru it. This will protect my new set, so I'm very happy. As soon as I put it on my table, I went right back to Amazon and canceled my return request. My apologies to the vendor.The PVC was not wrinkled or wavy, had no finger prints or dirt on it as I read in some of the reviews. Yes, it's not easy to align it on the table, but it does lay flat. It seems to be about 1/2" larger than the table top, which was something else I was worried about after reading the reviews about it shrinking.. I thought it was going to be cut exactly 42 X 42 and once it shrank, it wouldn't cover the entire table. Hopefully, if it DOES shrink, it should fit the table exactly. It does change the look of the glass top because it's plastic and does have some bubbles, but I'll put up with that to protect the glass. Not sure, but maybe they'll go away as the pvc settles in after a while.Glad I kept this and would recommend it for your GLASS table top. I don't know whether it would damage wood or not, but it does kind of stick to the glass, so I guess I would advise caution if you're getting it to protect wood.

Bought this to cover my dining room table so we could enjoy the beauty of the wood we loved without my kids making a mess of the table. It keeps food from falling down in the cracks between the boards on our table and is easy to clean. We loved it so much we purchased another size for using our table with or without the leaf. It is easy to switch. We just wipe it down roll it up and switch to the other after adding the leaf.

Perfect! Thick enough to stay in place even while wiping clean. I'm going to let it settle for a few days and then round the corners to match my table. It was more than I wanted to pay but well worth it!

Just received, placed, and steamed the frosted cover onto our family’s antique kitchen table. It came well packaged, clean, and without flaws. I was easily able to place this alone and I’m so happy with the quality and look so far. Shinier than I’m use to but not bad. The frosted shows off the table without highlighting every flaw that’s been put into it over the last few decades. Looks like when it shrinks a bit it’ll fit perfectly. Put it to the test with my four kids and no slipping or issues. I’ll update after the time period for shrinking but I’m very hopeful this will keep our beloved table around for a few more generations while still being heavily used.

At first set up, this was a great find, and so happy to have it. After two weeks, I noticed a film on both sides of the plastic. I noticed it when I first unwrapped but thought it was just part of being "new" and it would go away after airing out. Well it didn't and it left a nasty coating on my BRAND NEW TABLE!! It's left really weird marks, that I cant seem to get to go away. Almost like a waxy, or oily residue, that caused weird, wavy lines all over the entire top of my brand new dining room table. I do not recommend. Hoping with some elbow grease, airing out and time, it will fade.

I wish I had bought this the same day my table was delivered. After spending a few grand on a gorgeous modern table I was horrified that only a few years of use had the surface looking busted like a kid with his hand in the cookie jar. This cover gives a nice cushion for kids doing homework and protects a fine finish. If I was going to pick a nit, I would say the air bubbles look like garbage. But putting it into perspective, I would much rather put up with the bubbles than the permanent scars I now have.

I like this table protector. It’s exactly what I want. I need a table protector to prevent garbage falling into the gap. it is quiet when I put thing on table because of the table protector . I don't like the sound of glass collision. It doesn’t smell good at the beginning, but the smell disappears after a week, and the size had shrunk a little bit. By the way , it easy to clean.

Ive had this covering my coffee table for a few months now. It's really thick and durable but you cant really tell that there is plastic covering the table. Absolutely love this stuff.
