Accusize Industrial Tools 3'' Precision Screwless Vise, Hardened, 0.0002'', 0235-0303

All the Accusize milling accessories are perfect for my needs as a hobby machinist. This clamp is mounted on my Harbor Freight mini mill. It is a great value clamp, well made and plenty accurate for my needs.

Out of the box it's pristine and has a quality look (especially compared to the gritty roughness you sometimes get with imports). The etched logo is a classy touch.All surfaces measured flat and square within <2 tenths, using a 0.0001" indicator, surface plate, and referenced against a granite square (see images).The moving jaw fits the bed perfectly (medium-friction sliding fit with no play) and is square to the fixed jaw. Locking mechanism has a useful spring clip that keeps the pieces oriented and helps disengage the cross pin when loosening.Overall I'm really happy with everything about the vise and will probably order more.

Exactly what I need for machining smaller items accurately.

This vise is nicely ground, I haven't put it on the surface plate yet but i'm confident it is good quality.I haven't had to de-burr anything, it is all nicely chamfered.The main screw is a 6mm x 25mm socket head cap screw, it shipped with a 8.X grade bolt that seemed to be a little messed up on some of the threads so I replaced it with a 12.9 grade bolt.The two holes on the side of the fixed jaw are also threaded for 6mm and are roughly 12mm deep.I will probably end up getting a 3" version for slightly larger things.Will update when I test on the surface plate

Cant ask for a more impressive tool. Sitting on my mill takes focus away from the mill itself. Strong hold easy to adjust. Square and accurate.

The vise is square and less than a .0001 differences.

I have a Sherline milling machine. This vice is superior to the one offered by Sherline. It has a smother action and is much more ridged.
