This is a great product, exactly as advertised. It is perfect for my needs.
This Fiskars Durable Knife with Softgrip is awesome. It feels great, is sturdy and gets the job done. It's perfect for my needs and was a great buy for the quality. It looks great as well. It's easy to change blades, which are sharp, strong and durable. I'm able to use it for needles to re-root doll hair. It fits my medium female hand comfortably. It includes a blade cover to protect the blade and fingers. Follow safety precautions as the blade is very sharp. I'm very happy with this quality product. Replacement blades are diverse for a variety of applications, and they are affordable. Thank you, Fiskars!

The orange colored grip on the handle makes it easy to find in my desk drawer
The Fiskars SoftGrip Detail Craft Knife is an excellent addition to my desk essentials. As someone who has always appreciated the utility of an "exacto" knife for opening packages and completing small tasks, this knife is a noticeable upgrade. One of its standout features is the orange SoftGrip handle, which makes it incredibly easy to spot amidst the clutter of my desk drawer. Unlike traditional craft knives that blend in with pens, screwdrivers, and other tools, this knife is always easy to locate, saving me time and frustration. The razor-sharp blade is as effective as any precision knife I’ve used, and I love the weight and balance it provides. It feels sturdy and reliable in hand, making it ideal for tasks requiring fine control. The inclusion of a blade cover is a thoughtful addition, ensuring safety by preventing accidental cuts when reaching into the drawer.Overall, the Fiskars SoftGrip Detail Craft Knife combines practicality, comfort, and safety in a way that truly enhances its usability.

Sharp and Sturdy
I am satisfied with the knife. It has a good design with beefy handle and soft rubber sleeve to help with precision work. The knife holder is well designed and can hold the knife blade in place securely. Like others pointed out the knife comes with a cap to protect the blade and from accidently cut yourself. Its a bit loose but can hold itself in place. Some 1-star reviewer does not know how to put the blade in correctly. let me tell you.. look carefully at the knife, the holder consists of two metal wedges with a leaf spring inside. On each of the metal wedges there is a channel where you are supposed to put the blade in. Only on one of the wedge that has a notch, the notch should be aligned with the round holder to prevent it from twisting, and the blade edge should be aligned with this notch too. Once you screw it in the handle tightly (with a pair of pliers) everything would be locked in place securely. Look at other pictures posted. There is no way the blade can flip back and forth if you do it right.

Blade is a little jiggly but it does the job!
I bought this for punk stenciling. I've never used fiskars for a knife brand, only for their scissors and rotary cutters. Somethign tells me the blade should not be this lose, but for all I know it is probably something I did when fiddling with it after opening the package. Very sharp, watch your fingers, and always use close toed shoes when using craft knives. Trust me from experience years ago it hurts to step on these.

Knife blade is really sharp - sliced my finger pretty bad trying to remove the cap
Fiskars products are all high quality. Love their garden tools. Unit is very well made and comes with one blade. No instructions that are useful - be sure to practice removing and fitting the blade.

Better than the rest
Of all the precision craft knifes out there that I’ve tried, this scores higher across the board. While not being ‘heavy’, it does have a really nice weight to it and it fits the hand quite well. Which is a help when trying to create a tight & precise cut. It feels like you’re holding onto something substantial which was always something I faulted ‘Brand X’ about. Even though theirs are also metal, they’re so light I often felt distracted thinking the tube handle was about to fail. Even when it wasn’t a heavy cut. Even one stray thought about a scalpel blade flying out of a handle is enough to degrade your precision. Perhaps not a HUGE problem - but one I seemed to have. The orange grip is also really comfortable. Cushioned enough to save your fingers from fatiguing. Yet the feel of the blade isn’t affected at all.Changing the blades is a snap. It’s a tried and true design, essentially a collet, which secures the blade very well.Even if you’re not into craft work, everyone needs this sort of knife occasionally. My ‘craft’ is guitar building & I use this several times a day. This Fiskars option is superior AND at a competitive price. Usually lower than any of the others. Kind of a no-brainer.
