Quality product not just for coral
These ergonomically designed clippers allow maximum control for precision cutting. They are sharp. The spring lever mechanism works perfectly and makes cleaning and storage a breeze. I used these to trim my husband's toe-claws aka toenails. Nothing else we've tried has worked as well as these do. He liked them so much, we ordered a 2nd pair for the household toolbox. Highly recommend.

Love them
The 6.25" Heavy Duty Marino Coral Frag Cutter is an essential tool for any reef enthusiast. Its sharp, durable blades make cutting through coral frags effortless, providing clean cuts every time. The stainless steel construction resists corrosion, ensuring longevity even in saltwater environments. Its ergonomic design offers a comfortable grip, making it easy to use for extended periods. While it handles most coral types with ease, it can struggle with exceptionally thick pieces. Overall, it's a reliable, high-quality frag cutter that simplifies fragging and is well worth the investment for serious aquarists.

Coral Frag Cutter Cuts Through Anything!
I like everything about these PakCan 6.25" Heavy Duty Marino Coral Frag Cutters! They have a spring in the handle that can be folded down for easy storage of the nippers, instead of having to do that rotating thing others have for their bone cutters. I do a lot with softies, mostly mushrooms as shown in the photos. I don't like to cut the actual mushrooms like many do, but instead I wait for the corals to do natural splits, or my larger fish like copperband butterfly or magnificent foxface fish knock the mushrooms loose, and then I catch the loose mushrooms moving along the bottom in an assortment of rubble and plugs/tiles arranged so the mushrooms don't go into my overflows. While I feel this is a more natural, humane fragging method, it is totally out of my control which mushroom is going to get caught initially by which frag plug or tile, and I can get two incompatible mushroom types sharing the sides of the same plug or tile. These cut through the plugs and tiles with ease, so they'd make easy work of the corals themselves if you are into that style of fragging (and if you are an acro/stick grower, then this is also what you need!) There is an angle to the tip, which makes it easy to nip off individual corals. So far I'm trying to sell a colony of Dead Pool mushrooms on a rock, but because of the price for the whole self-propagated colony covering the rock, these precise and strong nippers will let me breakdown that rock into individual frags for sale. These coral cutters come in a plastic bag that features a snap, as well as a soft plastic cap for the sharp point and blades of the nippers, so they intend for us to store them carefully. The plastic cap keeps these sharp coral cutters from damaging my storage basket, and the plastic bag keeps any incidental saltwater from other things in my storage basket from getting on these nippers, though I dry my tools after each use. It is nice that these come individual as this is usually my go to tool, so no matter if someone is new to the hobby or a seasoned salty pro, these are a great value and useful. I am VERY happy with these. I hope my review helps someone else.

Great Value
This is the perfect sized cutter at 6.25". It's sturdy and has some weight to it. The blades are sharp enough to cut through anything, from frag plugs to thin branches. It gives a clean cut through small frags. The handle is wide when fully opened, so little effort and force is needed to cut through frag plugs. The spring in the handle can be folded down for easy, compact storage. I appreciate that it's made of stainless steel, so it won't rust and is very durable. At just $20, this is a great value cutter. I'm happy with this order and would recommend this to anyone with coral tanks.

Great aquascaping tool
I have a very heavily overgrown planted 29 gallon high guppy breeding and show tank, and for both tanks I have an extensive network of roots growing which I needed to thin out. These aquascaping pliers are definitely very sharp and seemingly well built, however I would not trust the steel to leave alone to dry and definitely drive them quickly with a microfiber or absorbent cloth being careful not to cut your fingers on the sharp edges. I was happy to be able to trim my Pearl weed and other plants as well as heavy thick monstrosa plant roots without any issues at all! This aquascaping plier functions well as a scissor as well as a tool that a serious aquascaper more sophisticated than myself would probably find useful, resulting in a tank that looks precisely the way you would like it to!
