I like the material on these- it is similar to a woven type of linen. The other slippers I was buying were getting worn out way too fast, with holes.These do not really have any padding-I am basically using them so my feet/socks do not get dirty in the house-they are completely utilitarian not for comfort or coziness.the 7/8 are a bit big and stretch...I wear a size 6, so I would get a size smaller.
