A great drive at a great price.
Easy to install with large storage, at a great price. I try to buy Samsung drives because of how reliable they generally are. The drive is fast enough to run games that require an SSD, but I would think about getting a heat sink as the drive will run hotter (most motherboards generally come with them nowadays, so check first).

Blazing Fast, Reliable, and Perfect for High-Performance Builds
The Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB SSD has been a fantastic upgrade for my PC. Speeds are absolutely blistering—Samsung’s claim of up to 7250 MB/s reads true in real-world use, whether it’s gaming, video editing, or large file transfers.Installation was straightforward, fitting neatly into my M.2 slot with no issues. The drive stays cool thanks to efficient thermal management, and it’s noticeably faster than my previous PCIe 3.0 SSD, making boot times and application launches much snappier. The 2TB capacity is generous, giving me plenty of space for games, software, and projects without worrying about running out of storage. Plus, Samsung’s reputation for reliability and excellent software support makes this a very reassuring choice. If you’re looking for a top-tier NVMe SSD to future-proof your build, the 990 EVO Plus is hard to beat—great performance, great capacity, and solid endurance. Highly recommended!

All round great drive
Bought this for my game drive, very fast, good size, easy to install. sits around 38c so doesn’t get to hot even under full loads. And it’s. Gen5Highly recommended.

Seems worth it
This is a blazingly fast drive running slower than it's capable to accommodate an eatx Asus crosshair vi extreme motherboard. I'm using it as a separate nvme SSD mounted in the m.2-2 slot of the pc.I have a 500gb Evo 970 plus running windows 11.Windows doesn't need 2TB and for now 500GB is enough. Games can need a lot of space and loading times are much better with a sata m.2, let alone a nvme m.2 like this 990. The extra speed of this device that I'm not experiencing is neither here nor there as the £120ish price is good value IMHO.I have also purchased another for a friend at £114 after another nvme of another manufacturer seems to have failed. Left with a HDD to run the pc from was very laggy. Now with this nvme SSD the pc is much more responsive. That pc has windows and games running from this one drive and perform ls well.Samsung magician can be helpful to monitor Samsung drives, as can crystal disk info to monitor this drive and others.I have also installed a cooler for it, it may not need it at these speeds but it looks and operates in cool fashion.

Great SSD, very fast speeds
Works great in my PC, very fast speeds and very reliable as well. I would definitely recommend.Make sure you have an M.2 screw at hand, as it doesn't come with a screw but these usually come with your motherboard.

Worth it.
Excellent, I recommend you buy a hintsink for the drive as they get a bit toasty.

Reliability with decent speed.
What can be said about this SSD, it performs the functions I need of them. They have been reliable, fit my storage device well and I get more than enough decent speed out of them.I don't need lightning fast drives for the amount of video editing I do, but what I need is decent speed and reliability. No noise, compatible with my T4 storage device which I mainly use for phot editing.
