How often are you supposed to change the flossing string part? Daily?

You change it when it looks like it is becoming very thin. You easily cantle when it is not flossing strong.Actually is floss is weak it will just break on you and you will know that it is the time. Easy to change. I love my Gum chucks.

Does the designer gum chuck handle work with the adult refills?

Must you have braces on to use this?

Gum chucks are not really the correct tool for braces as far as I can seee. I had braces for 3 yeas in my forties and I am pretty sure this is not the right tool. I haven't read their advertisement for a while though. I use them on all my teeth that do not have braces. I still have a permanent retainer on the bottom front six teeth. I have to use a floss threader and piece of floss for that area. I think gum chucks have helped all of us in my family to have better healthier teeth. I highly recommend them.
