Much bigger then expected
The media could not be loaded. I got this dagger thinking I'd get a 8inch blad .... nope it's 10 1/2 inchesVery very sturdy even the hilt guard is strong and bounces back .... it's not that heavy and as u can see it bends well but not when impacted as block only when thrusting forward the blade bendsMe and my 8 year old son have been play for a few years with bokkens and foam ... I've never gotten a cold steel dagger but incomparison to cold steel bokkens it's a tad softer but deffently had quality ... I can guard no problem even against larger or full size swords

Quite durable
This prop is great for show and isn’t foam or rubber so it’s not flimsy or easily scratched or damaged. Plus plastic spray paint works well if the solid black is an issue.

Exactly what we needed
Our HEMA school is developing a Dagger and Buckler system, we needed some nice training daggers and these are WHAT WE NEEDED, they are a bit on the flexy side but sturdy enough no doubt, great for sparring without injuries, great product

Very nice
It is interesting to see the models change over the years, This is a nice training knife excellent detail in the whole thing but still simple. Feels great in my hand and is very light. As a bonus this is softer than your standard Polyprolene training weapon so it has more flexibility. mine was straight as an arrow.

Holy moly--such great quality!
I bought this to be a prop for acting out scenes in Macbeth in my English class, and wow--this was exactly the level of quality I had hoped for, yet I was prepared to be disappointed. Totally impressed, and now I'm probably going to end up blowing way too much of my money on future ColdSteel training weapons, because I have two young boys who--ah, who am I fooling?--it's just as much the 7-year-old boy in me as it is the ones I'm raising ...After this Macbeth unit is over, my kids are going to go nuts playing with this thing--and it's going to stand up to all the shenanigans they (o.k., we) are going to put it through.

Solid Prop
I can't speak highly enough about Cold Steel. A fellow actor loaned me one of these and I bought a "brother" so that I could have a matching set. The appearance is splendid. I did have to touch up the paint between the shows... but it is so cool to have a solid knife that is NOT made out of metal.
