Original billows pump LEAKED brown stuff into bilge = BIG MESS !! The plastic billows actually split which allowed "STUFF" to escape pass the billows upward and out of the pump housing and into the bilge. The duckbill rubber valves are replaced routinely every 3 years. From now on, the billows will be replaced then also. Somewhat expensive, but WHAT A MESS. Remove pump from boat to service. Muriatic acid works best to "clean" pump housing & etc. Wear eye protection and rubber gloves with muriatic acid. When installing the duckbill valves, orient them in vertical position. If they are horizontal, the lower lip of the valve seems to "sag" prematurely, necessitating early replacement. Flush 2 full bowls of water with sudsy dish soap through system whenever leaving boat for more than a few days to prevent more frequent repairs and keep hoses clear of smelly "stuff".

Original Dometic bellow. OME part, Fitted well, better price than local marine store or online. Came in with the bolt, not the O rings.

It works as expected. Easy job to replace. Gaskets don’t come with so order those as well. I ordered O-rings from Amazon when I ordered this bellows and O-rings never arrived. Had to get from local boat shop. Anyhow, this worlds great.

Came in a timely manner, product was good quality, no issue with install and working great in my Fleetwood Class A RV ... Looking to purchase another as a spare, but currently unavailable...

Do NOT use chyneec knocks offs. This product has lasted for awhile thus far. Not this particular one, but another I had purchased earlier. I tried the alternatives, and you will be replacing it again in a fraction of the time you would be using this product.

Worked 1st time after installation as advertised.

I have the systems for 13 years and last Oct. I rebuilt them both for the first time..... the first one lasted 3 months and the bellow failed. thinking I did something wrong installing it, I just replaced it.... 2 months later the second one failed. They must have had a bad batch of pump bellows as both failed where the bellows connect to the piston. hopefully this fixed the problem.Note: after the rebuild the system is quieter and pumps faster.Update: failed again…. Ordered new one and tested before installing and the new one was bad out of the box…. I up it on the table and filled the center with water … it leaked out the bottom….

Being liveaboards we use our VaccuFlush year-round day after day and usually rebuild the pump every year. After we started using this bellow we extended the rebuild interval to 18 months and so far it has not cracked or leaked in between. Highly recommended.
