The media could not be loaded. I have not found a hair straightener that has suited me yet after many years of trying various kinds including those that are cheaper and more expensive. I bought this on a whim before a trip because it was listed as a dual voltage product. I have had a good experience with my hot tools, hairdryer brush in the past and so felt that this would be worth a try. I took it on a work trip and was totally shocked and impressed by how hot the tool got and how smooth it felt on my hair, which is wavy/frizzy/East Indian hair. I hate straightening my hair usually because I always experience hair pull, no matter what type of hair straightener I use whether it’s ceramic or titanium. This straightener was extremely smooth to use and required one to two passes for extremely straight hair that lasted. My hair was also quite shiny and smooth. The product heated up very quickly and has a nice digital display and heats up to 455° which is beyond what most of my other straighteners go up to. It has an indicator light to let you know that the product is ready to use, and it also has an auto shut off, although it will stay on for quite a long time without turning off up to two hours, I believe… I also attempted to use the flat iron to give my hair a slight curl one day and I was able to do this quite easily even though I am almost never able to manage, curling my hair with a flat iron with other tools that I’ve had… I don’t feel satisfied with many hair tools, but was happily surprised with this one and felt that I needed to leave a review as various good reviews helped me choose this product quickly… I used this product while abroad in Europe with a simple travel adapter and it worked beautifully. It does get hot near the plates and you have to be careful when you are holding the flat iron too close to the plates but they do include a heat resistant glove with the product, I just don’t typically use it.I recommend this product, although I cannot speak to the longevity of it as I’ve only been using it for a little over a week. I do have a good experience with hot tools and I’m hopeful that I just saved myself a lot of money investing in a more expensive product because this one is fantastic.One other thing as a bonus is that there is a lock to keep the hair straightener plates closed, which is a nice change from my old one that stays open unless covered with a plastic cover piece.I purchased the 1 1/4 inch product

With my thick, coarse, frizz-prone, processed & colored, wavy hair, just below the shoulder blades length hair, I have gone through & have tried numerous flat irons in my attempt to get the smoothest straight styles & curled styles & always assumed that I would not be able to achieve even better results than I was getting. I had previously purchased this flat iron for my daughter a couple Christmas’s ago to straighten her lower back length, coarse, extra thick, wavy hair & had always loved how smooth & shiny her hair would turn out after using this flat iron but never thought to try it on myself as I always assumed the results were pretty much due to her hair being healthier combined with the heat protectant spray we used. I, personally, was using the HSI Professional Glider Ceramic flat iron & was starting to get discouraged with the results I was getting lately; I mean, it worked but it was taking more swipes through my hair to get smoother results so after straightening her hair the last time & loving the results, I decided to get one for myself & give it a shot. I was BLOWN AWAY!!! Where had this been all my life?? I’ve only used it once to do my whole head & I am just absolutely impressed! This flat iron; at half the cost of the HSI is a game changer for me. Here’s why: 1. It’s a 1-1/4” width so it takes less time to do my hair; seriously, I noticed a remarkable difference between this & my 1” one. 2. Only 1 swipe & I get the smoothest, sleekest styles that last so long that my hair looks professionally straightened for going on the 3rd day now & I have worked out & sweat as well & I didn’t use any different hair products either. It’s SO nice just brushing it through, doing a very minor touch up on my short bangs which always get messed up & going on with my day, looking as if I had fully straightened my hair again which is prone to getting waves in it after sleeping & sweating. 3. The cost is amazing when you compare results to other higher end brands. 4. It feels really good to hold & glides effortlessly. 5. The extra long cord with the swivel feature is cool & I like the features on it.So bottom line, if you’re on the fence on whether or not to get this flat iron, DO IT! Honestly, I will never buy another brand of flat iron again.

This is the best flat iron I’ve ever owned! Heats up fast and keeps hair pin straight all day long. It doesn’t snag or pull hair! I’ve owned a lot of high end flat irons over the past 20 years and this one is the best! Definitely recommend!
