Surprisingly powerful!! Packs a punch for it's size. Would definitely recommend for self defense. Don't have to worry about buying batteries since it's rechargeable. All around great product for the price!!

The lights on the hot rod are useful and I have found that I use this function constantly.The main light is great for a short range spot light, and the flood light is great for dark paths at night.I view this product as being a functional flashlight with a stun gun, as opposed to a stun gun with accompanied lights.I am satisfied with my purchase, and the stun gun works.Trust me.I had my friends hit me with it for varying amounts of time.I feel safer with this in my armament.It's a great first line of defense.I'll be recommending this to my female coworkers.

Update: I bought a 2d one (my crazy dog ate the 1st!) .. works as advertised .. trigger is a bit sensitive, so I jerry-rigged mine with a small strip of electrical tape to impede the trigger from sliding to on position .. works great!Received on time as promised.. got it to help guard against off-leash dogs (and other wildlife) while out hiking trails .. have used it to instant effect -- the crackly sound it makes disturbs dogs & other animals to stop any misbehavior! Nicely fits in pocket, but be careful you don't shock yourself!

seems to be a well-made product. advertised power i think is enough for the intended purpose. charging by USB is a welcome feature. there's no way to test the effectiveness of its advertised voltage power so you'll have to take it on its face value. a good item to gift to someone you care. delivery via Amazon's pick-up location was as scheduled and secure. came with minimal but helpful instructions.
