I need these for face painting, how long are the handles?

The wooden part of the handle is five inches. The entire length of the paint brushes is about seven inches.

Are the bristles stiff?

In my opinion they are not stiff. I consider stiff to have little movement. The synthetic bristles are firm enough to hold shape and yet soft enough for great control. I hope this is helpful.
