A little over priced
A little pricy for just a plastic fuel cap that doesn’t even include the hose. I had a non VP brand that looked a lot like the VP cans I had literally just bought and filled up sitting in the back of my truck and someone reached over the side of my truck and stole just the cap off the top. I wasn’t sure if this was going to fit the non VP but similar style can, but I couldn’t see throwing away a brand new can just because the cap was gone so I took a chance on this, it fit perfectly. I was torn about spending this much for just the cap, a few more dollars and I could have just bought another new can with the hose and cap, but I’d still be forced to throw my brand new missing cap can away. Had my can I needed this for been older and used I wouldn’t have wanted to spend but maybe $6 for a new cap which would be more reasonably priced.

Won’t fit Sunoco Race Jugs Without 3D Print Mod
Bought four of these to replace Sunoco Race Jug lids that all failed within a month of moderate use. I took a chance on these instead of the Sunoco lids due to the large $15 price difference and not wanting more lids that fail more often than not. These have extra material around the hose threads, which are where all my sunoco lids failed. They will leak on Sunoco Race Jugs but will work with a 3D printed TPU seal that works along with the o-ring that is installed in these lids. If you have access to a 3D printer that has the ability to print TPU, these are much better than Sunoco Race Jug lids. Search on Thingiverse for my design using the search “VP race jug lid seal”.

I am no longer a VP customer.
VP racing also sells products under a different name. I bought a "U-Jug" from Menards and it is made by VP. It immediately leaked and did not seal. I exchanged it, transfered the expensive fuel right in the parking lot and the new one leaked also. Ordered this cap, exact same as what came on the "U-Jug" and it still leaks. Contacted VP, whose address is on the "U-Jug", before returning the first container and recieved NO response whatsoever. Thanks VP.

Not only completely useless - but dangerous
Just used these for the 1st time today to go with some new VP 5 gallon jugs that were supposed to replace the older model by same manufacturer which I've had for almost 10 years and still work well. The lids on these don't seal whatsoever, and more gasoline comes out of the neck / seal than the hose. It's apparent to me (and now confirmed from Amazon and Hoerr) that either the threads on the jug, or the threads on the cap are defective (or both).I would caution everyone to avoid these altogether as they should not be used for ANYTHING let alone gasoline which is what most of us use these for.Hope others have better luck than i did.UPDATE on on this - I would also recommend NOT purchasing from Hoerr Racing Products as they confirmed that the jugs and caps are defective, but still won't refund me for them.
