Set your expectations but I love it
If you keep in mind that this is a temporary hair coloring and set expectations accordingly it's actually a great product. I have naturally super curly hair, cut just above my ears, it is blonde at the moment so the color was very visible. I put A LOT think two half dollars at least. Applies like a gel, and then I just let it air dry in the hair style I wanted ( down and free). I can not imagine trying to style it with the produt. It does transfer if you lay down with it in... So Wash it out before bed or becoming active. I got a lot of compliments.

Surprising!
I was VERY surprised by the color vibrance with this temporary color. I did a test strip first and it truly did just wash out with water and didn’t leave any residual color on my platinum hair. I will say that the product did make my hair rather crunchy, but I got around that by diffusing my hair until ultra dry and then taking a fine tooth hair comb and lightly combing through the roots around my head and then used my fingers to sort of massage the ends until they separated a bit. This color DOES TRANSFER very easily, so if you sweat or wear anything light colored, be warned. The product really brought out my curl pattern which was awesome and I ended up leaving it in for about a week before washing out (which helped it look way less crunchy). Dry shampoo is a great combo with this and this product doesn’t feel damaging on the hair at all. I wish it were available in more shades!

I've tried 3 of the colors. Turquoise by far the worst
The styling gel part of the product is great. It really does hold without a curl cream. I was amazed at that. The Rose Gold and the Ruby took in my hair (bleached blonde). The Turquoise turned my hair gray and I looked like an old woman with it. It also was more drying than the other 2. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that the others are super thick and creamy and the turquoise was really runny. Whatever it was it was I didn't care for that. This has a lot of glitter flakes in it and they go EVERYWHERE. I had glitter everywhere on clothes for days. Even after it dried I had red transfer onto my sweater. I like the hold aspect. The Rose Gold and Ruby are good for temporary color (like today I put rose gold in again for a change from my normal blonde). The Turquoise though is not doing it for me. I don't apply to dry hair after because it's already drying enough I didn't want to add more to it and dry it out more.

Actually works
We had seen a video online of this brand and went looking for it as my daughter has really dark hair but I do not allow her to bleach, we tried bleach on small area and it destroyed her hair. But she loves vibrant colors and likes to experiment. This is the only one so far that we have found that actually shows, love the glimmer in it, she can only do little strands, her school is pretty strict, and it only lasts a day or 2, washes off easy, no mess, even hands wash off easy. I absolutely love it, but in experience Curl Smith products are all worth the money.

Terrible quality
Leaves hair hard. Doesn't spread. Feels like trying to rub wet cement on hair. And the color payoff isn't even good either.

It’s nice.
Okay first I bought two colors: blue and copper1. Definitely need more of the blue dye on your hair vs the copper which seems to spread more easily. So you will definitely end up using more of the blue in one dye verse the copper.2. The blue is a lot less glittery than the copper, the copper is very glittery but I like it, it’s shiny. The blue is definitely more expensive of a matte finish. I added some keratin oil to add shine to the blue.3. It’s dry. Sorry but it DOES make your hair dry and stiff.4. HOWEVER, even though it’s dry and stuff you can stuff move your hair around, think a hair spray that that stuff but still nets your hair move and shift and you can pull it apart without it turning white lol6. Once dry doesn’t transfer or smear (so far), however if you hand is damp or wet and you touch your hair forget it. So don’t wear on a rainy day if you going to be outside and you tend to forget your umbrella. I haven’t slept with it in my hair yet so we shall see how it does on a pillow6. Curls, it does seem to help hold curls. My curls have always been a disaster but I tried diffusing with this in it and I liked the result for the most part, I need to practice with diffusing.7. I brushed through when I used the copper it definitely transfers to the hair brush and my straightening iron8. Adding extra when it dries is great for uneven areas and it a quick dry with the blow dryer and done9. It takes forever to air dry and you HAVE to have a towel cause it puts dye on everything it touches. 10. Hence I switched to diffuser dry. If you just blow it, it tangled and gets VEEEEERY stiff. Gently blow dry is highly recommendedOverall I give it a B+ and will buy again

Crazy hair day approved!
I used this for my son’s dark hair for crazy hair day at school. It had great coverage and tinted even his dark hair a very nice blue color.Didn’t come off everywhere and it was super easy to wash out.
