La Crosse Technology308-1414W Wireless Atomic Digital Color Forecast Station with Alerts, White

Bought this product in April 2018. Been using it since then. Monitor is very accurate and easy to read. Battery option save you to have to reset everything in case of power outage. Was working good until couple weeks ago when my sensor stopped transmitting to the receiver. Try to change batteries, light is flashing when you put the batteries inside but does not transmit. And it happen couple months after the warranty as ended. Kind of expensive unit (paid 70$ at the time) for only one year of usage.

I've had it for only 3 weeks, but except for the atomic clock, it has worked well so far. I have an east-facing apt. in Toronto, and cannot get the time signal from Colorado. If it works well for a year, I'll consider it a 5-star product. My options for mounting the outdoor sensor are pretty limited. Tried mounting it on the north side of a partition between apartments, but the sun hit the south side, warmed the partition, and threw the temperature off. So I mounted it on the underside of the concrete slab above, which keeps it in the shade, about 3 ft. from the wall, and as far away from any doors that could let warm air out as possible. Not ideal, but the best I can do. If lithium batteries keep the sensor going through our chilly Canadian winter, I'll be very satisfied with my weather station.

The advertised picture looks nice, description is spot on for a La Crosse weather station - but - when I received it, it was NOT a La Crosse but a gblife (whatever that is). The product felt and looked cheap like a 1980s handheld videogame let alone not being what I ordered.Do not buy from this vendor, it will be like a box of chocolates (you never know what you're going to get).

- add 2 batteries for the wireless outside sensor- add 3 batteries for the main unit- plug in the AC power adapter, 5VIf you only use the batteries, the unit powers downs its brightness after 10 seconds and you can hardly see anything.You must plug it in and also add 3 batteries as backup and then you can adjust the brightness.I love this unit. Accurate temperature and humidity readings.Love you can set it your time zone, day light savings and its an atomic based clock.I wanted something new and colorful and not cheap. This delivers.

The La Crosse Technology 308-1414B Wireless Atomic Digital Color Forecast Station does work as described once installed. Lithium batteries are suggested for the outside unit, because of our uncomfortable winters. The display is bright enough to be read at night whenever someone happens to walk by it. The only slightly weak point is that you have to be within a certain angle to view the display. Besides this, the weather station unit seems to function properly and efficiently. Should it stop working well, I shall add a note to this review soon after! Meanwhile, I definitely recommend it!
