Good value for money
I purchased Arteck keyboard for my Surface Pro4 in Apr 2023 as a replacement of the original Microsoft Keyboard cover. I am happy with its performance and so far I cannot find any issue with the Arteck keyboard.

One advantage - lots of negatives
This review is comparing the Arteck to the official Surface keyboard:The advantage - it is bluetooth so you don't have to have it connected physically. This allows you to have the keyboard further from the screen or wherever you want in the room if the Surface is connected to a big TV for instance. This of course can be useful.Disadvantages:- the pad does not work as well with the left/right clicks being temperamental, zoom not being as smooth and apparently the side swipes (for going back/forward a page when on Chrome for instance) do not work at all.- not integrated as well with your Surface so for instance when you close the 'cover' it does not tell the Surface to go to sleep. This means I have often come back and turned on the Surface to find the battery dead. Also means it doesn't wake up with the touchpad.- keys sound and feel a bit cheap in comparison.- needs charging, although not often to be fair as it lasts very well.- no back lit keys.- enter key is half the size and the delete key is weird but you can get used to both of these.Over all I think I would have paid the extra and gone for the Microsoft official one if I had the choice again. However, as a cheaper alternative and with the advantage of being able to physically separate the keyboard, I imagine this is still a good choice for many people.Update....Since leaving this review I have been contacted by Arteck customer services who made an effort to make me feel more positive about this product. Although the keyboard itself is still working the same way, I have increased the review by one star (now 4) to reflect the fact that they spotted a unhappy customer and tried to find a solution.

Solid piece of kit
I really like this keyboard, I'm even using it to write this review. It maybe lacks some of the refinement of a Microsoft Typecover (no backlit keys, louder keystrokes), but it more than makes up for it in terms of value for money. The Bluetooth connection works faultlessly, and I like that the keyboard can be detached from the Surface Pro to work at a distance. The trackpad has support for multi-touch, but if you find yourself catching it whilst typing, Function key + spacebar toggles it on/off.Some reviews mentioned the delete key not working, but I think as someone else said, this is probably because they had F12 set as the default action (Delete and F12 are on the same key). You can toggle the default action of the top row of function keys by pressing the Function key + ESC.So all in all, an excellent piece of kit that has given my Surface Pro a new lease of life.

This is the keyboard Microsoft should have made.
Bought as a replacement for a years-old MS keyboard which came with the Surface. The minor downsides compared to the MS product: it's a little heavier, down to the battery I guess. The action feels a little more "clicky" and the plastic a little lower quality than the MS keyboard. To be clear though, this isn't a Fisher Price "My first keyboard" and it's nice to use. The Enter key is oblong and not an L-shape. And the fabric feels a little more synthetic than the MS one. These are all little deficiencies, though and without the advantage of the MS keyboard to compare against, don't think I'd have noticed.Downsides out of the way, the BT connection transforms the usability of the machine. I can place the screen on the other side of the desk, at the end of a desk sharing the screen, or on the tray table on a train or plane and work with the keyboard in my lap. I've dropped the kick-stand on the Surface into the magazine slot on a plane seat back and worked with the keyboard on the table, comfortable facing a screen at head height. The magnet is strong enough to hold the keyboard onto the Surface, with the keyboard dangling from the machine and battery life isn't an issue. It just makes using the Surface as a laptop an immensely more comfortable and enjoyable experience. Add to that the cost saving against the MS product and it's hard to make a case against this.

Cheap but does the job just.
Only connnects via bluethooth, which does drain the laptops battery a bit. Mouse pad is also not great, its hard to do a left click.

Very good keyboard for Surface Pro
This product looks very good and functional, It's just few days I'm using the keyboard so I will not mention anything about the battery life but from reviews of other fellow reviewers it seems to last long time and the thing that can be switched off It's a plus to keep the battery life even for longer. The keyboard, that comes with a usb charging cable looks great and all the keys are working fine. (included Delete that if it's locked needs to be unlocked with Fn key) the feel is almost the same as a laptop and the mouse pad works good and also is thin but very solid and it works as a cover and this is one of the thing I appreciate most. Very happy about this product, the value for money is excellent, I would recommend it if you need a keyboard and cover in the same product for the Surface Pro

Saving ££ on a cheaper style not worth it
I am a full time student so my income is very limited which is why I chose a cheaper non branded keyboard to try and save my money. Boy do I regret this!! It constantly glitches out , I try and move the cursor and it moves it the opposite way on screen or just flickers or adds words as I press delete or completely freezer or refuses to connect to the computer… it’s really plasticky as you type as well and buttons on there don’t operate like normal keyboard for example the delete label button does not actually delete. Clt alt del does not work either. It will pick and choose what it does when it wants and be damned if u want to do work…just want to turn back time and buy the real thing… which I now have to do anyway
