1/350 Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea. Seaview

Great model, needs assembly and painting, of course I knew it that, no problem for me. I enjoy building scale models.This model remember my childhood when I watch the TV series 👍🏻

this is a very cool item it was a lil smaller then i thought it would be but a good size non the less im currently working on it and finding it to be very detailed and i would recamend this item to anyone weather your a fan of the tv show the voyage to the bottom of the sea or not its a cool model to build there wouldnt have been a seaquest if there hadent been a seaview nuf said

I bought some Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea DVDs for my son as they provide a lot of action and monsters for kids to enjoy. This simple model kit from Moebius is the perfect accessory for little people who want to take the Seaview on adventures in the tub, the pool, etc.You need an adult to assemble this but the project is about an hour's worth of work and is very simple. I added some styrofoam inside to keep it afloat and off the bottom of the pool.This is no museum piece, nor is it going to withstand the sort of wanton abuse some kids will subject it to, but if you're child respects his toys and likes the TV show, if you don't mind investing the effort to glue it together, then this is a good choice.

The fit of this Moebius model is tremendous, requiring almost no trimming or sanding. While it is not a complex model, it is still a fun and satisfying build. The color instruction manual (photo illustrated) is unambiguous and easy to follow. The benthic base is a wonderful display option. The nostalgia factor is high in this model and undoubtedly contributes to the pleasure of the build.

The media could not be loaded. I liked this little Seaview as it is made accurate to the 32" larger Seaview and a much better one than the Aurora I had as a kid--in fact--this is exactly how theAurora Seaview should have been designed. I decided to add some lighting to this model (2 lights underneath the bulkhead, nose cone, observation windows, and red/green coning tower lights). No rear fin lights as there is no place to put the wires. In the video I have posted you can see the interior lit matte I placed in theobservation window that shows the TV crew members of the Seaview (Nelson, Crane,Chip,Kowalski etc). It has a 3-D kind of look when you use a closeup/magnifying lens. It is powered by 2 AAA batteries under the stand with a tiny micro switch shown in the video. I'm going to make a lit one for underwateruse with my HD camcorder as well!

This is a nice product, and it is much better than I expected. It is a Christmas present for my brother, who is developmentally disabled and together, we are going to work on building it. :-)

Loved the movie and the series and this is a nice kit.....BUT....the small pieces that go on the bridge like the periscope and radar are extremely hard to remove from the holder and so small that they break very easily. If you drop them there is zero chance you would find them. I know these kits come from a mold, but there is too much excess plastic and the instructions are pretty much worthless.
